"I was thinking we should get Nick a date for the wedding." I put my thoughts out there.

Tony kept a keen eye on the stylist trimming Scotty's hair.

"Not that much." He pointed out. "Don't give the kid a buzz cut just trim the edges."

"Yes sir."

Scotty is just a one year old kid getting his hair cut by a high end stylist. Lucky boy. We are getting a portrait of the three of us done.

"I was thinking we should get Nick a date for the wedding." I repeated myself.

That's when he looked at me narrowing his dark brown eyes.

"No." He declined.

"Naila is my maid of honor. Nick is your best man. We should pair them up."

"Bad idea." He shrugged smiling down at Scotty. "It's fire and bloody petrol. Are you mad?"

Tony has been weird since we returned from the Riviera.

"I don't think he should be alone-"

"Just leave it alone." He insisted trying to still Scott when he got jumpy.

"Why?" I questioned. "Can't you see your brother is lonely?"

"Get out." He told the stylist.

"Sir?"

"Did I stutter?"

"No sir. Excuse me." The man made a swift exit leaving Scotty's hair half cut.

"What's wrong with you?" I questioned. "You've been bad tempered since we came from the Riviera. Are you upset with me?"

"Since when did you and Nickolas get so cozy?"

"Cozy?"

"Yeah. Sunscreen cozy?"

He didn't make sense until I recalled a moment in one of the hot afternoons when he offered to put sunscreen on my back.

"What?"

"You let him put sunscreen on you?"

"Yeah, so?"

"I don't want him touching you. Do you understand? Don't get too comfortable with him either."

"Where is all this coming from? He just put sunscreen on my back. That was it. What's the big deal?"

"Did he have to undo your bikini top?"

"Ah!" I exclaimed. "That's it? The bikini top? It's not like he saw my breasts or he's a bloody virgin who has never seen breasts!"

"It was indecent. I don't want Nickolas touching you ever. Is that clear?"

"It's clear." I agreed. "I'll just ignore him and avoid him and tell him to look away when I pass."

Nick and I connected by the end of our trip. We have aggressive outlooks in life and we agree on how to do things. If I tell him this we will laugh pretty hard.

"So, the date?" I carried on my initial agenda.

"Naila and Nickolas are toxic. They shouldn't be together."

"What about Coleen? She's single."

"Even more toxic." He added. "Keira was good for him but she's married now. What is this fetish to play cupid? Leave it alone. Nickolas isn't ready for a bloody rebound or a relationship. He's worked too hard to spiral out of control. Let the man be."

I don't want to let it go.

It is like a personal urge to fix him. Each time he stared at Tony and I, his eyes were full of pain. He wants a relationship.
