\\ These violent delights have violent ends \\

If just a few months ago someone told nick mara that he'd be here, he'd never believe them. he'd tell them they have the wrong brother and that it was chris who did this stuff. it was chris who led the gang. it was chris who killed.

if someone had told nick mara he'd be in brandon arreaga's basement, planning a raid on his own brother, he'd probably beat them up.

but here he was, in brandon arreaga's basement, fuming. his hand bloody from punching a wall; his vision red from anger
and deceit. zion was here, brandon must have called him from nicks phone at some point because he wasn't here an hour
ago. he wasn't here when he needed him. but he's here now, and he was calming nick down.

"We'll find her, and she'll be okay," Zion tells him, his own heart beating fast and uncontrollably. "She'll be okay. She's got you, and Brandon." He didn't know who he was reassuring at this point.

She changed all of their lives, but zion knew what she did to nick, she helped him. she fixed him. made him feel worthy and he has never seen nick like that in a long time, he almost definitely felt like crying when he saw nick smile genuinely when he saw her.

"You don't know that," Nick hissed, shocking Zion and everyone around them in the basement. "I know my brother. I know he doesn't care! He doesn't care that she loves me... he doesn't care that i love her." He whispered, sadness taking over his anger. He looks at Brandon then, "i love her," he tells him honestly.

The Mexican nods, and though once upon a time it'd make his blood boil, he knew the sincerity in the other boys voice. and he knew he really did love her. he might not approve, but he wouldn't dare stand in the way of a love even he knew was so powerful. "I know." was all he told nick, before addressing everyone in the room, "that's why we're gonna get her. together," he looks at all of them and then back to nick who is the picture of a broken man. Brandon went to the safe and entered the combination lock, he pulled out a couple of handguns, giving one to each of the boys in the room. "Austin, we'll take the SUV. Edwin, Zion, you take Nick and sneak him into the house,"

The boys followed the orders made, and soon enough nick found himself outside the house he calls home. The house he loved for the first time in. the house she was in right now, scared and fighting for her life. nick gulped, his throat getting dry, his hands sweating, his heart beating. he wasn't ready to see her, tied up, beaten, his anger boiling as he realises what his brother may have done to her. he stares at the house, eyes clouding with salty water, he looks down - not wanting zion to see his tears. he brings his fingers to his eyes and wipes them hastily, "Z... i don't think i can do this," He whispers, looking at his best friend with a distressed expression. "he's still my brother- i-"

"Nick, chris was your brother, this guy he became when your parents died, when you were eleven, this is not your brother. your brother is so far gone, nick," Zion told him in the same quiet voice. He watched nick's face change from fear to realisation, realising his brother really is gone. "Nick you need her more than anyone. you need Cierra,"

Zion waited in the car with Edwin, they sat there in silence, anticipating what would come next. Zion lifted his head upon hearing a gunshot. He looked at Edwin who was going to say something when another gunshot was heard.
