The sunlight tore through the small gap in the blinds, the morning glow being way too harsh for Nick's eyes as he jerked his head away. He didn't turn as far as he hoped, because he and Cierra was locked in each other's tight embrace. Her head was on his chest, and her mouth was open slightly as she breathed lightly. He looked down at his chest and ran a hand through the sleeping girl's messy hair, taking the time to brush the stray strands away from her face. 

She didn't budge, which got him to let out a weak laugh because of how deeply she was sleeping. Nick shifted so they were on their sides, facing each other. Her arm had fallen from around him, and the only movement she made was deeper into him, so Cierra was nuzzled into his neck. He pressed a few simple kisses on her cheek, to which she responded by tilting her head the smallest bit to leave a lingering kiss on his jaw. Her eyes never opened and Nick wondered if that was an instinct in her sleep as he recalled the times they lay together and she used to pepper kisses on his face as he spoke about his day.

She turns so they lay on their sides and he could see her sleeping face clearly. Nick lay there, his eyes sparkling with adoration for her. For this amazing, beautiful, flawless girl who came into his life - and he wondered what he did for his life to suddenly become so good. A part of him, somewhere in the back of his mind, was telling him that this was all too good to be true. That it's gonna go wrong, but he ignored it. Nick wanted to believe that it was gonna work out, that for once he had a perfect life. 

Unable to resist, his shuffled closer and pressed his lips to hers (which were still parted but only by the slightest bit) quickly. He stays close to her, his heart aching but in a good way, which he had no idea was possible. After a whole week away from her, where she never spoke to him, he hadn't seen her or held her was too much. After just a week he craved for Cierra. Basking in the beautiful and comfortable silence that surrounded them whenever they were alone together. Nick's nose was pressed against her small button nose, and his hooded eyes were low.He just wanted to hold her, to have her feel all the love she made him feel. To make her understand how she made his heart flutter, his stomach twist into knots, his head light and his mood better. His head buried into her neck as he left a trail of kisses from beneath her jaw towards the end of her shoulder and back up again.

His heavy breath against her neck stirred Cierra from her sleep, her eyebrows furrowed as she adjusted to the unfamiliar surroundings. She had no idea where she was, her body tensed but instantly relaxed when she recognised Nick's peppery kisses being placed on one spot of her neck. Cierra sank into the bed, her eyes fluttering closed from pure comfort.

"Good morning," He mumbles in between lazy kisses.

She frowned once again, wondering how the hell he knew she was awake. So she remained silent, trying hard not to smile as his lips inched their way closer to hers. Cierra still played asleep, waiting for him to 'wake her up'. Nick reached the corner of her mouth and left a long kiss there, before doing the same on the other corner. She didn't want to move, but Cierra was anticipating to feel his lips on hers. She waited, as his lips came close to hers and she felt his breathing from them on hers. Nick smiled before whispering, "Baby girl, I know you're awake,"

Her stomach did somersaults at the nickname, and she jutted out her bottom lip into a pout. Cierra's large eyes opened slowly and slightly as she gazed at him through slits. "I was sleeping," She lied.
