They never made it to New York.
"Juno ! Wake up !" Opening her eyes, the tall trees above her appeared to shift and double. Screaming echoed off to her left as Mark appeared above her.
"Wake up !" He helped her sit up and immediately she felt a pain in her thigh. Looking down she noticed a piece of shrapnel sticking out of her thigh. Looking around, Juno grabbed a scrap of fabric that laid on the ground.
Taking out the shrapnel, she quickly tied the piece of fabric tightly and knotted it. A cry of pain escaped her lips as she breathed in shakily before standing.
Leaning on Mark, the two stumbled down the small slope towards the plane. On the other side laid Arizona, her leg was messed up and she couldn't stop screaming. "SHUT UP ! OH MY GOD JUST. SHUT. UP !" immediately Arizona's voice died out and she turned to sobbing instead.
"Where's Caroline ? Aaron ? o-or Derek ?!" Mark's voice sounded panicked as he looked for his shoe. Looking around, Aaron stumbled into view, "what happened ?!" Turning back to look at Aaron, "a plane crash ! We were in a plane crash !"
Still, Aaron kept asking what happened, "We were in a plane and it crashed ! Plane ! Crash !"
Juno didn't remember much from her time in the woods. She remembered feeling a burning fire everywhere. She remembered her breathing being labored. She remembered her eyes dropping. She remembered falling asleep.
