Since that day, Septimus hasn't given a care in the world about being cautious around Wisteria, letting himself show the human his affections. Every time she visited him, he would cling onto her and milk in the smiles and laughs he received.
Having someone taking care of him was beyond his dreams. He didn't imagine this to make him happy.
But since he grew desperate for her attention, Wis had to literally kick him away before he could fully release his grip on her. She was glad that he didn't meet Delilah yet, who knows what the woman would react when she finds out that this man was made to be chaotic?
She was tempted to use her reward from healing his scars. She had visited her system and Eden gladly gave her a small bottle that can make even the most powerful person pass out for at least five hours. Wisteria has asked her on why the reward seemed so big. She thought about getting something that would be a little useless. Not something as cool as that.
Eden didn't really have an answer for her. It wasn't like the system actually chose that reward for her.
But they also reminded Wisteria on how her other challenge to get Septimus's trust. Even if he did seem friendly and kind to her, he didn't actually see her as someone who he depended on.
But she still had an idea on what to do. It was the only plan she had so if it didn't work, she doesn't know what will.
"Delilah?" Wisteria stood in front of the woman with eager eyes. The elder stopped knitting and looked at the girl with a smile, "Yes? Is there something you need?" Wisteria thought on how to approach the topic, but she was a bit nervous about speaking it.
"Can you tell me about the God of Cataclysm?" As soon as those words left, Delilah's eyes suddenly widened and she completely let go of the sweater she was making. "Dear, how do you know that god?"
"I-I was reading some of the books in my room and found out some more gods." It was true. She was rummaging through her closet and drawers to find a scarf when she noticed some books on the topic and history of gods. She didn't care enough to read who the others were or the origins, she only tried looking up Septimus. She was disappointed when she found his other name. It seems like nobody actually cared about his real name.
Delilah sighed before answering the girl. "No one really knows what his real name is. He's the most dangerous god out there besides the king. There were many stories about his origins. Some say that he killed a mass of a hundred people to attain his title of a god, that he killed his own family form hatred, or that he actually killed a minor god because he could. In my own opinion, he doesn't deserve to be given offerings. There's just too many bad rumors about that man that I don't honestly doubt. He's the definition of genocide and eradication."
Wisteria's heart plummeted when she realized that Septimus was truly dangerous. He might be kind to her now since she treated him, but who's to say that she might survive one of his fits? Was he that powerful to destroy people with the snap of his fingers?
"How do you make a shrine?" The girl asked the woman. Delilah looked momentarily surprised at her. "Why do you want to make a shrine? Ah! Don't tell me you want to make an offering to him-"
"I-I was wanting to give offerings to the goddess of love." She quickly stated. While she was trying to find her brother's name, she found out that there really was a goddess of love and beauty. She didn't really think too much about it before ignoring the name.
"Oh? You have taken a liking to her? I suppose with your beauty, you must want to give thanks to the goddess?" Delilah got up.
"Y-Yes. That's correct." She doesn't give a crap about the goddess.
