   "I want that."

"No."

"That... looks delicious... let's get that one."

"Pay attention to where you're walking."

"That looks nice. Buy it."

Wisteria stopped and turned around with a flat look. "I only have a few coins with me, and the rest of the gold I have given to you."

"I'm tired. Let's get a pillow." He yawned.

Wisteria frowned. "No."

The male yawned once more before stumbling slightly next to her. His face was passive, but it seemed to her that he was drunk on something. If he couldn't even walk, then how could she ever find her way back to the main platform with this guy slowing her down?

Wisteria bit back a retort and carefully grabbed his arm and sped their walk a little faster. She was really thinking about summoning the demon, but there were too many people around and not all of them had magic. If Matteus were to suddenly appear, wouldn't that make a bit of an uproar? Maybe even the guy next to her might do something.

"Hey, what's your name?" Wisteria asked.

He mumbled something that she couldn't decipher. When she tugged on him again, he snorted. "Mir."

Mir? Was this some sort of language barrier again? Eden had to step in and explain to the girl that it was Croatian. Simply put, it meant peace. It was weird.

On the other hand, Matteus stood in front of the fountain with a displeased look. He ignored the whispers around him and clenched his jaw, highly irritated that his master was gone.

To top it all off, none of these humans were reluctant to move for him. At this rate the scent of Wisteria might disappear and get mixed in with the crowd.

Matteus had to sigh and dreaded about reported back to his master on how he lost the girl. If anything, Septimus might lose his shit again. Out of all of the gods, pissing the one who walks among the dead would be a mistake.

Wisteria may or may not know, but she had to be aware that her so-called "brother" is someone that no mortal or god can mock. She should be wary of how his attitude works. He can be nice, act wonderful like an angel, but he knows that his mistress has seen his true colors. Is she not at the very least worried on what would happen if the god hears about her getting lost?

No one in the underworld can cause her a bit of unrest. Septimus will get irritated and lash out, he'd feel distressed. Even his right and left hand men bear witness to his actions. Someone like Wisteria was not to be messed with since she had a powerful backer.

In the hierarchy that they created, Septimus was considered easily to be at the bottom. But he was also at the top. Because of his manipulations with death and the living, and how he originally sat on the throne beside the Supreme, Matteus knew that his reaction would be disastrous. That man was a ticking time bomb.

If a scratch comes to her, I'll raise Hell once more.

He paled. The demon needed to get past these people. Pushing them away despite their rash scowls and yells, Matteus finally snuck into the corners of a building and sank into the shadows.

Wisteria, still not amused, was watching intently on Mir. The male was always tired and kept moping about losing his pillow. He kept asking her to buy another one, and she honestly couldn't deal with his rants any longer. So the two of them pulled up right next to a shop and bought the man the comfiest one she could find.
