I stood before the late evening sun today,
watching the decline of the day.
I was trying to figure out my thoughts
which i could not articulate. I felt lost.
Everything around seemed mundane
I asked myself, “Am I turning insane?”
My reverie was broken by a thunderclap,
all the golden rays gone, the sky turned black.
The charcoal clouds predicted the storm nearing
the beautiful day had a dreary ending.
“How apt this is”, I thought
like my little bubble of happiness, long gone.
I waited for the rain to come down,
drizzle and bedew my droughted love.
But I had wished for the far-fetched,
loved him when I knew I will be heart-wrecked.
So the storm served me right,
should never have loved with hindsight.
