You woke up to your alarm going off. 'ughh it's morning already' You rolled your eyes dreading mornings but still pulled through and got up for your morning.

"Well guess I can still got time to go to the library and get some lunch" This was more like a ritual to you. Get up. Eat. Run. Library. Coffee. School. Being 19 attending Kamii University loving a normal life.
Well trying to anyways..
"Lets see what haven't I read already" You skimmed through the binds with your pointer finger until a certain book caught your eye. "hmm this one sounds pretty inviting" you grinned picking the book up chuckling at the title of the book.
As you were excited about the new finding your stomach decided to interrupt.*growls* 'I'm going' you thought to yourself annoyed.
You open up the door to a warm and inviting small cafe being welcomed immediately by a pretty indigo haired young lady with such a lovely smile. But her eyes told a different story from what she presented.
"Welcome to Anteiku" she smiled showing you to your seat at a small table. "Thank you" you smiled as you sat down."What will it be for today?" "Hmm the usual and a piece of (favorite) cake." She smiles and goes to make your coffee.
You smile as you open your book to "The black Goats egg" "enjoy" you hear the nice girl say as she places your food down you give her a small "thank you"
You never pay any attention to your surroundings when you read since you're always so engrossed but you couldn't help but listen in to two teen boys whispering loudly about a crush.
"Is that her?" Hide whispered to Kaneki. "N-no" he shook his head flustered. 'She's really pretty and seems to have good taste in books' he softly smiles at you hoping to go unnoticed. As instinct you looked above your book to stare into a pair of dark grey eyes. Thankfully your book covered a portion of your blushing face.
Out of embarrassment you gave him a friendly smile and small wave. "Ooo she's pretty hot and out of your League" Hide snickers to Kaneki but he couldn't believe a pretty girl like you would acknowledge him.
As he was going to wave back he heard the bell ring and completely focused on who came in.
'Typical men' you thought as you took a bite of your (favorite) cake not bothered until *sniff sniff* Your nose scrunched up by a disgusting scent . "fuck this stretch I'm leaving" you mumble to yourself and you chug the black coffee down and pay your bill.
You return back to your single bed room apartment and kicked off your shoes and took a well needed nap. >>> Time Skip
You get up from your nap and get a glass of water. "Man.. I need a snack..." You scratched your stomach that was basically crying out loud. Grabbing your black hoodie and a surgical mask you sighed heading out.
"Let's see what I'll find" you cracked your neck
As you walk through the crowd a sweet aroma hits you filling your nose. It was fresh blood. As you followed the scent you stop behind a trash can you squat hearing the commotion. 'It's that boy from earlier .. YO it's that waitress!.i knew she was a ghoul but that boy..he's half ghoul?!' You were in utter shock but didn't want to get involved in that mess.
But you stopped moving when you heard him crying about not wanting to eat human flesh that if he did his humanity would be thrown out the window. The girl on the other hand was getting annoyed with him telling him he's a half breed that belongs nowhere.
That hit home.
"Then where do we belong..?"
