It's been a couple days since the whole deal with Ke-Kaneki's leaving. You still thought it was all just a bad dreaming hoping he'll come through the doors of the cafe.. it never came.
Since then you haven't been back to Kami University getting your phone blown up by a worried Hide. You sighed but a faint smile appeared on your face. 'You just don't give up huh Hide..'
"Ah you stupid bird! Ah you actually craped on me dammit!" You heard Nishki groan. 'That idiot'
"So where's Touka?" He randomly brought it up. "Hm I think she's studying to get into Kami University" Kaya smiled.
"Wait seriously?? I'm smart and even I almost didn't make it. Wait Saya how the hell did YOU get in" he said never really thinking about it.
"Hmm. I'm actually smart you know tsk. But my father from what I could always remember preaching that without an education I'll be doomed" I rolled my eyes thinking of my old man. Doomed huh?
As things started to get worse with the whole CCG & Aogiri Tree you didn't know what to do anymore. You stoped going to school, slowly dropping your hours at the cafe and now as you sat on the ledge of a building you looked up at the night sky. Wondering what's he's doing. How's he doing. Why should you even care when he obviously doesn't.
"Ughhh! I ha-...who am I kidding Kaneki I cant ever hate you..I just hate myself.." you let a tear roll down. Thinking maybe you've done more to stop him from leaving.
The next day was the same thing you would always try to come up with a reason to just stay in bed but you knew you had to do something. You got ready for work. Everyone knew you took the hardest hit from him leaving you don't smile anymore not like when Kaneki was around.
As you finished a whole day shift you decided to visit Touka & Hinami since you wanted to see Hinami.
"Saya-Chan!" Hinami ran to you with open arms. "Hey girly" you forced a weak smile. "Hey you finally came" touka greeted you sitting down. You nodded.
"Hey look what I got!" Hinami showed you her new book. "Ooo you sure know how to pick a good book" you ruffled her hair. "Hmf! Yes I do! My favorite author is having a book signing! " her eyes sparkled. You sighed and said fuck. "So what time are we going?" You tilted your head. "Really??" Her mouth was slightly hanging.
"Breaking news! There seems to be an accident involving a group of ghouls attacking police report says one seems to be the eye patch-"
Touka immediately turned off the tv. Your heart stopped at the thought of him doing something so stupid you clenched your first. Hinami noticed the tension "he must have a good reason! He would-" she stopped as you stood up and quickly walked out the door rushing back home.
"Why do I get so worked up from you.."
Next morning >
"So where's the child" you walked in the cafe. "Oh hey Saya she should be here-"
"I'm ready!" Hinami came in with touka clothing on which put a small smile on your face.
"Ugh your author sucks.." you grumble. "Hey maybe something happened! She'll be here!" Hinami tugged on your arm.
"I'm here!" You saw a long hair dark green girl walk in. 'About time lady'
"Next!"
"Why hello ! Aren't you a cute girl, what's your name!" She smiled to Hinami. Something about her was..off?
"Ah thank you! My name in Hinami"
"Okay to Hinami"
"Wait no!"
"Hm? Do you go by Hina?"
"Umm..it's a present" she heisted as if she would get in trouble looking at you from the side of her eye.
'A gift? Touka doesn't read like that?'
"To Kaneki" She said softly making you flinch.
"Hmm? Kaneki? What's his full name ?"
"It's Kaneki Ken but no one really besides Saya-Chan calls him that" she said giving you a gentle smile.
"Oh well maybe you're someone special to him then" she said turning to you giving you a closed eye smile turning back to writing his name.
"Y-yea.." was all you could say.
"Well thank you for coming to see me bye!" She waved to you both as you thank her.
'Weird..'
The CCG were connecting the dots between the accident that happened six months ago with Kaneki and Rize.
"Kaneki what are you doing? Do you know what you're doing to Saya.." Hide looked at the Missing Poster of Kaneki with sad eyes.
"The lead of a play huh?" Touka layed in her bed smiling sadly at the thought of a shy boy having such a lead
As for me.
"Kaneki I miss you. Come back" a sad smile creeped on to my tired of crying face.
I know you'll come back.
