The group was on their knees in a half circle minus 10k and Cassandra.
Cassandra had grabbed his hand and ran. Luckily Cassia and him had left their guns on the roof.
"The rest of the resurrected have been secured." A man whispered to the priest who smiled and turned back to everyone.
"Brothers and sisters, I know you have hate in your hearts right now and do not come willingly to this test of faith. But today each of you will become part of the New Resurrection Church. You must choose how you serve. You may join the living flock and spend your days serving the Resurrected. Or your souls can take the next step on their journey to eternal life. The time has come for you to choose. Join me and walk among the living or follow this blasphemer who thought he could oppose the righteous and now walks among the dead." The crazy priest explained and Cassia scoffed.
The priest turned to stare at her and raised a gun at her the barrel resting between her eyes.
"You will be the first of many to join the resurrected." He announced and Cassia closed her eyes accepting her fate.
"Stop! If you think the resurrected are one step closer to heaven then prepare to meet your new god." An all to familiar voice announced from the Zombie cage and Cassia smiled. Knowing who it was.
"Come, brother. Step away from the resurrected. That is no place for a mortal human. Come join our flock all are welcome." The priest hoaxed moving the gun from Cassia's head.
"I am not one of the resurrected. I'm your Messiah." Murphy said stepping out of the cage. Being careful not to let any of the Z's out.
"Thats blasphemy, brother. We can all see you're one of the living." Jacob stated.
"Eight times! I was bitten and did not turn." Murphy's voice raised with impatience.
"Eight times I was infected by their bloody saliva. And yet here I stand before you. And I am here to tell you that he is a false prophet! For I am the true incarnation of the resurrected!" By now Murphy was yelling but Jacob still didn't seemed convinced.
Not even when Murphy showed his chest.
'What the hell is he doing?' Cassia mouthed at Warren.
'I have no idea.' Warren mouthed back and Cassia sighed in defeat.
"Kill the blasphemer." Jacob said without a hint of hesitation in his tone.
"But the bites, Jacob." One of Jacobs men butted in.
"He's a false prophet!" Jacob said without hesitation like he was scared of loosing authority.
"I can prove it! I can prove that my words are true." Murphy insisted.
"Tell us, blasphemer. How can you possibly prove this outrageous lie?" Jacob asked obviously not convinced.
"I'll show you." Murphy explained moving back toward the cage where no Z's tried to grab at the cage for him.
"The Resurrected will not attack me because they love and fear me. Behold my flock." Murphy said moving his arms so they were out.
"There's your proof, brothers and sisters! Now let us go, Jacob, before my flock resurrects all of you!" Murphy yelled acting intimidating.
"Jacob, what if he's speaking the truth?" One of Jacobs men whispered.
"He's no messiah." Jacob retorted back.
"I'll prove it." Murphy stated and pulled a Z from the cage.
He stuck his finger in the Z's mouth for a minute or two and not once did the Z try to bite Murphy.
"There's one last test for you to pass. Blasphemer." Jacob announced. Now this guy was getting needy.
"Damn it." Murphy muttered thinking all of it was over.
"A bullet to the heart will reveal the truth!" The priest exclaimed moving the gun from Cassias head and pointed it towards Murphy.
"No! Charlie!" Warren screamed as Garnett jumped in front of Murphy as the bullet wizzed toward him.
"No!" Warrens voice strained as she got up and ran to Garnett as a bullet flew into the priests shoulder.
One jumped up and jumped at the priest, elbowing him the face. He pushed her off of him and shot her in the collarbone.
Everything seemed distant as she fell to the floor with a thud.
"Cassia!" 10k called as he shot up from the roof. Cassia could feel the blood trickling down her arm and tried to move causing more to come from her arm.
"Cassy!" He screamed over and over again tears streaming down his face as he got off the roof and ran toward One-Shot who lay unmoving on the floor.
"Hey your okay. Your okay." He repeated pulling her head into his lap.
The world grew fuzzy to Cassia as she brought her hand up to 10k's face.
"Don't leave me Tommy." She croaked out, it coming out as audible as a whisper.
"I won't." He cried and Doc ran to him pulling him to his feet.
10k fought against Doc trying not to hurt him.
"Please." 10k cried.
"I promised her." He pulled out of Docs grasp and ran to One-Shot who lay motionless.
He reached his hand up to her neck feeling for a pulse.
"Stop!" He yelled as Doc grabbed his arm.
"She's alive she has a pulse." He cried picking her up.
New face claim for Cassia! She now is played by Adelaine Kane instead of Alycia Debnam-Carey because I felt like Alycia didn't really fit her.
