"Be safe." Cassia whispered to Rider who nodded in response

"i'll be back soon. Okay?" Rider asked kissing Cassia's forehead before slinging her sniper over her shoulder and leaving their little camp the two set up in an old apartment complex.

Hours later Cassia lay on the floor of their camp getting fed up with waiting for Rider to come back and decided to explore the complex she pulled her machete out of its seethe as she slowly walked down the hall the apartment they resided in was on.

Cassia slowly opened the apartment next to theirs the door creaking slightly and she winced at the sound.

She banged three times on the now open door waiting for the zombies.

A zombie who was once a women who may have been around her mid 20's came out her clothes tattered as she tried to snap at Cassia and she backed up against the wall and sliced the zombies head down the center, blood spattered on her face but she didn't mind it.

Cassia pulled the machete from the zombie, and watched t fall face first to the ground. She slowly stepped over it and into the apartment.

The apartment was filled with pictures of what Cassia presumed to be the family of the women.

She smiled as she picked a picture up. It was of an older couple a young girl and a boy who looked a little older then the girl.

The family was smiling a smile that reached their eyes and Cassia felt tears prick at her eyes. She wouldn't be able to ever feel at home again. Nor would anyone else be.

She placed the picture back down besides the other ones and made her way deeper into the apartment.

"Cass?" Rider whispered as she walked into their camp.

Cassia looked up at the sound of Riders voice and smiled.

"I didn't think you were gonna make it back." Cassia whispered standing up and Rider laughed.

"You think you could get rid of me that easily?" She joked and Cassia smiled.

"I love you." Cassia whispered. "We may not get to say it tomorrow or the next day. We may not make it -" Cassia rambled on and Rider cut her off.

"Hey don't say that." Rider whispered caressing Cassia's cheek and Cassia nodded before kissing Rider lightly.

"I love you to. You know that right?" Rider asked and Cassia nodded.

"And trust me when I say this. We will make it. And we'll be together." Cassia nodded and Rider kissed Cassia again.

"I won't ever leave you. As long as i'm alive." Rider said and Cassia smiled.

And that feeling of home Cassia said she would never feel again. She felt it.

A/N
This is a filler and flashback chapter while I get some inspiration to write. I know I haven't been active and this isn't long but I just came up with this idea to make Cassia Bi and I love her a lot. I also thought the reason she was so hung up on Riders death could be that they were a thing rather than just best friends.

Comment your thought on Rider & Cassia's relationship.
