"Liam, I think that's your daddy knocking. Wanna go see Daddy?" Alexis asks her newborn, rocking him softly. She heads over to the door and opens it, smiling at him. "It is Daddy. Oh, and Leo and Derek."
"I hope you don't mind me bringing them. Leo wanted to see Liam again and Derek falls asleep in the car." Julian explains, putting Derek's carrier on the ground next to him. "Hi, Liam. Can I hold him?"
"I'll do you one better. You can take him up to his crib." She offers, working Liam into Julian's arms. Julian leans down so Leo can see Liam. Leo kisses his brother's head, letting Julian stand back up. "I'll stay with these two cuties."
Julian nods and brings Liam upstairs. Alexis sits on the stairs, smiling at Leo and Derek. "Hi, Leo. Did you have fun with the Kids' Fair the other day?"
"Yeah! It was really fun. And it was just me, Daddy, Derek, Kenny, Oscar, and Kim. The other mommies had their babies. I got to pet an alpaca." He tells her.
"How exciting." She beams, looking down at her shirt. She crosses her arms in front of her chest. "I have to run upstairs, you keep an eye on Derek, okay?"
Leo nods, sitting next to his brother's carrier, rocking it softly. Alexis rushes upstairs and into her bedroom. Julian turns around, Liam clinging to his shirt. "Lex, something wrong? Leo and Derek are they-"
"Perfectly fine. I'm leaking through my shirt." She tells him, going straight to the dresser and finding something to cover up.
Julian goes back to rocking Liam. "So, no Jax?"
"He took Josslyn to see a movie. She's been pretty upset the last few days. I'm sure you know why."
"Yeah, Oscar broke up with her. Gotta say, it was a long time coming and it'll be better now. I hate that she's heartbroken, but Oscar wasn't happy with how things were."
"I got the feeling. How's he doing?" She asks.
"It's an adjustment." Julian says, lowering Liam into his bassinet. "Goodnight, Little One. Be good for Mommy. I love you."
Alexis goes over and gives him one last check, following Julian out and downstairs. Leo's still sitting next to Derek. "Alright, buddy. Time to get home and you kids to bed."

Julian lays Derek in his crib , tucking the blanket under his legs. "Goodnight, baby boy. I love you." He whispers, shutting off his bedroom light and going over to Marti. He sits on the ottoman next to her crib, carefully dropping the side down and placing his hand on her stomach, rubbing slow circles.
There's a soft knock on the door. Oscar walks in and over to him. "Mom has Layla. She's giving her a quick rinse, she spit up."
"Thank you, Oscar. How's Leo?" Julian asks, not looking up from Marti.
"He's good, playing with his stuffed animals. Can we talk?"
"What about?" Julian finally looks up at him, patting the free corner of the ottoman.
Oscar sits, turning so he's facing Marti, joining Julian in rubbing her stomach. "It's about Joss. Do you think I did the right thing?"
"Yeah, I do. You weren't happy with her. You called me to have me pick you up early and say it was for baby sitting duty. Oscar, I'm proud of you for sticking up for yourself."
"But I broke her heart. Am I the bad guy in all this?"
"Absolutely not. You didn't wanna be in the relationship so you ended it. It doesn't make you the bad guy. It makes you a man. You did it in a very nice way. You made her lunch and were very mature about it. You don't deserve to be unhappy to make someone else feel good." Julian tells him, squeezing his shoulder. "You did good."
"Thanks, Julian. I'm gonna take a shower and head to bed. I have a test tomorrow in biology." Oscar says, smiling and heading out.
Julian pulls his hand away from his sleeping daughter, putting the side of the crib back up. He goes to Tomas and Abel, lifting both of them out of their crib, settling into the rocking chair with them. He does his nightly struggle of getting the bottles off the heater and into his sons' mouths, but manages.
The twins make quick work of their bottles, kicking each other the whole time. Julian burps them both and swaddles them, laying them in their crib. "Goodnight Tomas. Goodnight Abel."
He goes to Kenny next, lifting her up. "Oh, hello, angel. I swear you get prettier every time I see you." He beams, heading back to his rocking chair. She starts to fuss, rubbing her face. "I know, sweetie. I know." He clears his throat and starts to sing softly. Kenny calms back down, mushing out in his arms.
Once Kenny is asleep, Julian looks over at the door, Kim standing there with Layla. "That was beautiful, as always." She says, trading Layla for Kenny and bringing her daughter back to her crib.
Julian takes the book off the changing table shelf. Kim looks over and laughs at him. "I can't believe you actually read that to your little girl every night."
"She doesn't understand it yet. When she does, I'll stop. I can't believe she's actually being quiet." He says, opening to the first page, Layla already starting to doze off in his arms. "The cats nestle close to their kittens, the lambs have laid down with the sheep. You are cozy and warm in your bed, my dear. Please go the fuck to sleep."
Julian keeps going until Layla is in deep sleep, taking her over to her crib, laying her down and going to Kim. "I'm gonna go get Leo in bed. You wanna get the show on?"
She nods. They head out of the bedroom, Kim heads downstairs while Julian heads to Leo's room. He walks in and over to Leo's bed. "Hey, bud. You ready for bed?"
Leo sinks under the covers. "Will you read me a story?"
     "Which one?"
Leo reaches over to his bedside table, getting one of the book and giving it to his father. Julian leans back, letting Leo curl up against him. Julian reads through the book, Leo slowly getting sleepier and sleepier. When Julian finishes and closes the book, Leo goes to grab another, Julian stopping him. "Just one book. Try to sleep."
Leo grabs Julian's arm, stopping him from leaving. "Wait, Daddy. I don't want you to go. Please stay."
Julian sighs and nods, rubbing Leo's back until he starts to close his eyes. Even then, he stays just to make sure he's really asleep. When he's sure, he gets up and heads downstairs and into the livingroom. Kim perks up when she sees him, patting the spot next to her. "That took a while."
"Leo's being clingy again. He's gonna end up in our bed again tonight."
"As long as he gets sleep. It's really all we can do at this point. Dr. Collins said it's only a matter of time before he gets over the nightmares and he's fine in his own bed all night. He's little and the trauma is finally catching up to him. And you're a human furnace. You emit heat. It's comforting."
Julian laughs, stealing a quick kiss. She goes for another kiss, this one lasting until she's on his lap. He flips her, moving to her neck. She wraps her legs around his waist, keeping his close. The baby monitor starts to go off. Julian pulls away and sighs. "It's Layla. Oh, and Marti's joined. I'll go calm them down before they wake everyone up. A parents work is never done."
