Epilogue
The next few years went by super fast. Savannah, Luke, Brayden, and I all ended up going to Furman University. Although the others didn't go to the same college as us four, we all stayed in touch and ended up moving close to each other after college graduation.
Savannah and Brayden are engaged as well as Luke and I. Laura and Sean are dating, but Sean said he was going to propose to her soon. Chloe and Trent
are still going strong as well. Jason found himself a nice girl the freshman year of college and he proposed to her during the graduation ceremony.
Savannah and Brayden are planning on having a baby, just like Luke and I are. They want a boy and we want a girl.
Laura and Chloe never played soccer after college, but Savannah and I stuck with the sport and we both are coaches for an elite girls travel team.
Luke and Sean are also a soccer coaches at the same club, just for boys teams.
We all live in the same general area of California.
And as for my mom? She found a wonderful guy and they are now married. They met at the grocery store and clicked instantly. I am overly glad that my mother found someone who makes her happy and doesn't use her.
My dad was sentenced to thirty years in prison for cruelty to children, domestic abuse, and stalking. Serves him right.
I never heard from Caroline ever again. We would occasionally see each other around town, but we would just walk in the other direction. I saw on the news that she died during college due to a drug overdose.
My life may not be perfect in other people's mind, but it is in mine.
