Chapter 17: A New Start

After several weeks lying in a bed with no entertainment, you were beginning to become restless. You often made up little games as you sat, you started touching things you weren't suppose to touch, you just couldn't sit still. Yeah, [Fav. MCD Guy] came and helped you through your misery, but he couldn't stay with you all the time because of the rule of "No one is allowed to visit past visiting hours". You never understood it because you were so used to having many people just coming in and out. And this new place called a "hospital", was a foreign area. You couldn't explore it as your would in a new region, considering your legs ached and the medics wouldn't allow you to stand. You came to a conclusion that it was like a place where medics and healers take care of illnesses and wounds. Here they also have things called medicine and there are many machines and controls that help the medics heal people.

It's not like you are an alien from another planet or galaxy. You explained as best as you could to him, and he listened carefully and attentively. [Fav MCD Guy] stated that the "dream" you experienced might have been in a time long ago. You pondered a while on that thought.

You couldn't believe how calm you were in accepting this world. It wasn't normal. But to your surprise, it wasn't scary or alerting. Perhaps it's because of the thought of having [Fav. MCD Guy] with you to guide you. Or maybe it's because you've already faced so many challenges that it doesn't affect you anymore. Either way you were in this world and you had to adapt.

"[Your Name]." You knew that voice quite well from the countless hours and days spent with him.

"Hello [Fav. MCD Guy]."

"Are you ready to finally be released?" He said with a smile and a gleam of excitement in his eyes.

"Released? What does that mean?" This happened often. There were many words that meant different in this world, so you asked quetions. Many questions.

"Well, it basically means that you get to leave this place and go out into the world." He chuckled as you held out a hand to help you out of the bed. You accepted, thinking about the word.

"Out into the world? Don't we need weapons, armor, potions- Oh..." You paused, pink dusting your cheeks a bit. "You said this place is safe and we don't need to fight for protection." He laughed and ruffled your hair.

"That's right. You don't need to worry about that. Right now we need to get you some clothes."

You walked beside [Fav. MCD Guy] wearing baggy clothing that he provided to you. They were comfortable and were definitely not for sparring. They were for "fashion" a word that [Fav. MCD Guy] taught you. Though you liked the clothes you had on, you weren't fond of the girl the clung onto [Fav. MCD Guy]. She was here to "help" you find some suitable clothes. [Fav. MCD Guy] claimed he wasn't good in the fashion industry. This girl was... different... She had bright pink hair that was tied back into a tight ponytail on the top of her head, she had darker skin that complimented the hair. She had freckles but they weren't dots, they were stars and hearts, connected by lines that resembled constellations. She chewed pink bubblegum, occasionally blowing it into a bubble and popping it. Her style was a bit showy, showing off her stomach and legs. The net that hugged her legs were a nice touch, but you wondered if she purposely put them on or got caught in a fishing net.

The three of you entered a place called a "mall". You assumed it was like a market place, since there were many booths and stalls where they sold items.

"So [Your Name], I heard you're in need of some clothes!" The bright girl exclaimed. You wanted to say but rudeness was something you hated getting from people so you didn't say it. You simply nodded and walked alongside the two. "Well lucky for you, I know exactly the style you should wear!" She brightly remarked. She grabbed your hand and quickly made her way towards a store. Why is this stranger pulling me, I don't even know her name.

"By the way, call me Rosemary!" She said as if reading your thoughts.
