"Mother, I'm not going!" I yelled walking up the stairs to my bedroom. She's been at me all week.
"Rylee, I've had enough. Your father has invested a lot into this company and we need to be there to support him." She said following me up the stairs. Ugh! It's not that I hate my parents but I hate what they do. My parents have never shared what they do for a living with me. All I know is that whenever my fathers 'company' makes an investment, I'm made to dress up nicely and we have dinner with these scary men always dressed up in suits.
"I'm sick of these dinners, just go without me!" I yelled back at her. I walked into my room, slamming the door and locking it.
"Rylee your being stubborn, now open up!" She banged on my door.
"I'm NOT going." I walked over to my black shiny piano sitting delicately in the corner of my room. The piano is the only thing that gives me serenity.
I close my eyes, blocking out any noise and trace my fingers over each key. I let my hands flow and let the beautiful music play.
"Rylee May Knight open this door now!" My father yelled. I grunted and unlocked my door.
"Father I said I wasn't going." I said. My father was suited up cleanly but it didn't hide the bags hanging under his eyes.
"Rylee get changed now!" My father yelled. I grunted again, tired of fighting. I got changed into a beautiful rose gold dress and let my hair flow freely over my shoulders. I descended the stair case prepared for this stupid dinner I'm forced to go to.
Both my mother and father are waiting at the bottom of the stairs. My mother is dressed in a floral pattern dress and my father in the same black suit as before.
"Rylee, these people are very important, so I need you to be on your best behaviour please." My father spoke.
"Yes father" I said whilst rolling my eyes.

We were driven to this beautiful restaurant which gleamed power and wealth. My door was opened by the driver and I got out, following my parents into he restaurant. We were seated in a private room where 4 suited guys already sat. They must be important as two bodyguards stood in the corners behind them.
The guys stood up acknowledging our arrival and shaking my parents hands. When they reached me they each grabbed my hand before laying a kiss upon it. I gulped, feeling uncertain about them.
After being seated at the far end of the table, my parents starting talking to the 4 men. Our meals were shortly brought out and we all ate in silence. After finishing our meals, I could feel a bit of tension but ignored it by playing on my phone.
My parents and the men were talking for what seemed like forever and I was getting quite impatient.
"Father, mother. May I be excused and go home?" I stood from my seat and asked nicely.
My parents looked at me in unison before my father spoke, "of course Rylee. We won't be home to late though so don't wait up."
I nodded, turned and then left. Our chauffeur was waiting outside. He opened the door for me and then drove me home. As soon as he left I walked towards my front door.
When I entered my house, something felt a bit off. Nothing looked out of place, so I ignored it and walked up the stairs to my room.
I had a shower and sat back down at my piano. I pressed each key before turning around and heading to bed. I pulled the blanket up to my neck and closed my eyes. Drifting to sleep.

I julted awake when a hand was shoved onto my mouth. My eyes opened wide. I couldn't see much, identifying that it was still night time. I tried to pry the hand off my mouth but more hands grabbed onto my body holding me down. I tried to thrash around, kicking and trying to scream. But nothing worked. Tears dropped from my eyes onto the person hand that was on my mouth.
The hand was moved but before I could yell, a cloth was slammed onto my lips. I begun to panic when the person holding my head leant down to my ear and whispered, "just breathe". I took a big breathe in after realising I was holding my breathe. White spots invaded my vision and I was getting light headed. And that was when the darkness took over.
