It took me a lot of courage to do that. No one knows how many nights I spent sleepless just to prepare myself mentally and emotionally to confess to her my feelings. And those sleepless nights? They were all worth it. The smile on her face pays all the effort I did. I’m not asking her to love me back. All I want is her permission so that I could enter in her life now. I can’t wait to see her again. Just a thought of her makes me wanna see her right away.
I dropped myself to bed, preparing myself to sleep. I texted her before I closed my eyes.

The next day, maaga akong nagising. Excited akong pumasok sa office. Bago ako pumunta sa working place ko, dumaan ako sa Starbucks. Bumili ako ng white chocolate mocha venti size and cinnamon roll. Favorite niya yun eh. Panigurado, ‘di pa yun nakakapagbreakfast. Mag-isa lang kasi siya and wala siyang kaalalay sa mga gawaing bagay. Kaya most of the time, nagte-take out na lang siya at sa office na siya kumakain.
Inabot ko kay Faye yung binili ko.
“Faye, pakibigay sa Ma’am mo. Pakisabing ‘wag siyang magpapagutom. At wag mong sabihing galing ‘to sa akin, okay?”
“Makakarating po Sir”
Sa sobrang busy ko sa kakaisip kay Kim at sa project naming dalawa, muntik ko ng makaligtaan na 76th birthday na nga pala ni Angkong next Saturday. Tiyempong tumawag si Dad.
“Hello dad? Napatawag po kayo?” Ano naman kayang masamang hangin ang nagpaudyok kay dad na tawagan ako?
“Gusto kang makausap ng lolo mo as soon as possible.”
“Okay po. Mamayang lunch na lang ho”
“See you around son!”

I’m on my way to Angkong’s place. I wonder kung ano na naman kaya ang pag-uusapan namin.
“Apo, it’s good to see you! Maupo ka. Di na ako magpapaliguy-ligoy pa. Isa lang sana ang hihingiin kong pabor sa’yo. Mapagbibigyan mo ba ako?”
“Anything for this family, Angkong”
