Jennie woke up earlier than her usual wake up call. She's now currently in a grocery store, buying some stuff. After she got all her ingredients, she lined up at the cashier line and pay.
When everything's all good, she went a coffee shop and ordered a hot choco and iced americano.
Head's slightly banging onto the beat coming from her car's stereo while her eyes are focused on the road. When she got there, she parked the cark and moved out.
She doesn't need to knock anymore because she got a spare key, she went straight to the kitchen and prepares herself.
"This is going to be tough." She said.
She grabbed the pancake mix out of the grocery bag and read carefully the instruction.
"A life saver. So, I just need to add some water and mix it."
Jennie poured the pancake mix in the bowl and poured some water too. After that she mixed it.
She, then, placed the pan on the stove and put a butter, too much butter.
"Uh, shoud I flip it now?"
When she flipped it, it created a mess in the pan. Not the one she expected to turn out to.
"One fail pancake is not that bad, I think. I'll make it perfect this time. I should cook it longer, I guess."
She tries it again and wait for it cook a little longer, when she flipped it, it was over cooked.
She sighed out of frustation.
"Why can't I do this? It's so simple. Jennie Kim pull your shit togeter. Argh " She whined.
She set aside the pancake mix and try to cook the bacon instead, she'll continue with the pancakes later.
"Shit. Ouch! Get off me." Jennie said like child when the oil keep coming to her direction while frying.
After like a century, she finished cooking a breakfast.
Well, if you can call it a breakfast.
Jennie stares at the food she cooked, she slightly winced.
"This looked like not edible to eat." She said, disappointed.
While she was removing her apron, she heard footsteps coming to the kitchen.
It was Jisoo, surpised to see the younger girl in their kitchen.
"What are you doing here?" Jisoo said with her cold voice. Eyes were swollen because of crying.
"Hey, Good morning, ba-. I cooked you breakfast." The younger girl said, pointing at the table.
A plate of pancakes was served and bacon on the side. She put a smiley face using a maple syrup to hide atleast the burnt area.
The food was not visually appealing, Jennie cannot deny.
"You call this a breakfast?" Jisoo said with such sarcasm. She went beside Jennie and took a box of cereal and grabbed the milk in the fridge.
Of course, Jennie is hurt and super disappointed with herself.
"Try better next time, Jen." She encouraged herself.
She looked at her hands and saw some burns.
