The Snow Queen And The Frost Prince.

anna knows.

I sat silently at the table. I could feel hans burning holes into the side of my head but i played it off as if i didnt.

Anna has been giving me the strangest looks this whole evening. She hasn't spoken a single word all day. At least to me she hasn't.

She smiled kindly at jack and peaked in my direction. I pretended not to notice and chewed my food slowly. Im not sure why dinner has to be so awkward every single night but it seemed as if tonight it was somehow worse than normal.

I poked my food with a fork and glanced at the clock on the wall. In about two minutes i would of been here long enough that it wouldnt be rude if i excused myself.

Anna cleared her throat and folded her napkin gently placing it on the table. She stood and gave an ungraceful bow to hans and jack.

"Please excuse me and the queen. We'll walk to our rooms ourself." she told them.

I raised a confused eyebrow at her but she took no notice. So i turned to hans and gave him a stiff bow before turning to jack.

"Frost im sure you can find yourself out, correct?" i asked with a wink. He flashed me a dazzling smile and stood. He bowed to hans and myself before speaking.

"Why of course my queen. Ill see you tomorrow" he told me. I smiled and knew that as soon as he left the front doors that he'd make his way to my balcony and wait on me. It was our nightly ritual. The more time i had to spend with hans, the more time id find to fit jack .

I followed my sister up the stairs in silence. She seemed to be thinking deeply about something and i didnt want to disturb her. Besides anything shes thinking she will always spill. Shes been that way since we were little.

Suddenly i heard her voice "You like jack" she told me without a single bit of doubt.

I paused for a moment before responding "i am engaged to another. How could i?" i said in a cold voice. I kept my tone even clear of any obvious lie.

She smiled and pushed me gently. "I am not dumb or blind." she assured me. "Even i can see the love between you and jack. Why would you agree to marry someone if they are not whom you love?" she asked me sadly.

I chewed my lip as i thought of what to say. I couldn't dare tell her i was giving up on my love so you could love someone one day. It would kill her and i know she would marry for me just so i can be happy.

"Someones... There are circumstances even i cannot control. Sometimes love isnt enough." i told her.

She snorted and grabbed my wrists. She looked me deep in the eyes before speaking. "End it with hans. Its not fair to jack or hans for it to continue like this. You're always with jack im sure hans knows by now where your heart lies" she assured me.

I gently pried her hands off of me "look i appreciate the concern. But i assure you im doing the best i can for this kingdom."

"That is just not so elsa. Leading a kingdom on real love is better than this fake marriage. Being with the one you love is everything. Even is jack isnt some prince. That shouldn't even matter to you if you really love him."  she spoke quickly and quietly as we approached her door.

"I could care less if he were a Prince anna. Do not butt into things that are not meant for you. Don't assume you know because you dont. Now goodnight anna. Remember your place as princess." i reminded her.

She opened her door and stepped inside her bedroom. She turned to me. "Im staying in my place as your sister. I wont let you marry someone you dont love." she slammed the door behind her.

I sighed, did anna really have to make things any harder on me? She had no idea the situation but here she is telling me to cancel the wedding. If i were to do that our kingdom would fall.

I shook those negative thoughts out my head and presumed to my room where i knew he was waiting for me.

I doubt anna could really cause any harm or effect my plans but again i shouldn't underestimate her. She is quite stubborn.

I sighed. Anna why must you make things harder on me when im trying to protect you?
