(Mackenzie's POV)

Today was the day I turned 6 according to what my mother used to say. It had been about 4 years since Slendy brought me home. It was so nice of him to save me.

My family was murdered by 3 killers, and before they could get me, Slendy ran off with me. Or at least, that's what he told me.

He left my sister. I don't know what happened to her.

Sometimes I think about her, she didn't care for me that much, but she would be all I have left of my family. My mom and step dad are dead, and I don't know who my real father is. Maybe Maddie does.

I walked downstairs and hoped to find Jack, when I got down there, no one was there except for Slendy.

"Mornin!" I said a little too peppy. He looked up, "Hello child! What's got you all energized?" I frowned a bit. I don't think he knew today was my birthday, I didn't expect him to, I mean, he is a stranger .. Sort of.. And I usually don't make a huge deal about it, but this time I am excited.

On a shifter's birthday they gain the same amount of animals as the year they turn, like 6 animals this year for me.

I gotta be careful though, they don't know about any of my powers. "Today is my 6th birthday." I said and flashed a toothy smile.

"Oh sorry dear, now that you mention it, we really never did anything for your other birthdays, would you like to do something this year?" He questioned taking a sip of his coffee. I never understood how he ate, or talked, or breathed. Then again he isn't human so I guess anything is possible.

I don't think he has any idea that I know they aren't completely human..

I sat down with some carrots and dressing - the closest thing they had to human food in the house - and felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck.

I tilted my head back to find a blue masked boy in a grey t-shirt and sweats. I smiled, "Jack!". "G'mornin birthday girl! Can I sit with you?". I pretended to think for a second. "I guess.." I said smirking, I got up and let him sit, then I sat on his lap.

About 10 minutes later Ben, Jeff, and the rest came in and took their seats. "Slendy does Kenzie really have to leave again? It's her birthday!"

"We actually do need her for a meeting today." Slendy said. "It's time she knew the truth." At this Jack tensed up.

I grabbed his hand and pulled it into my chest. He seemed like he was gonna cry. I hugged him and frowned. What was going on here?

"Well we may as well start with everyone here" Slender said. "Okay Mackenzie, I am going to be really frank here. Okay?" I nodded. Oh boy..

"I'm your father." Oh. I never knew my dad would be inhuman. And Jack and Ben, all those guys.. They knew the whole time. I sort of felt betrayed by that.

"Okay and 2 more things. First, we are a family of killers. None of us are fully human and we kill for a living. All the boys you see here, they work for me. But we would never hurt you. Never."

I took that in for a minute, I wasn't scared, I knew they wouldn't hurt me. But they have hurt so many other people, they know how to hurt people and they enjoy it, for fun..

"And the last and worst thing.." I could see Jack cringing and and breathing faster, he was really nervous.

"Kenzie we were the ones who killed your mother and Kenneth. Me, Eyeless Jack, and Jeff."

I froze. Thats why Jack was so nervous. He knew what was coming. I really didn't know what to say at this point. I looked into what would be Jack's eyes.

He frowned and started to what I think was cry. He removed his arms, I patted his back and hopped off his lap. I walked out of the room making eye contact with each of them. I left emotionlessly and went to my room.

I needed to think for a bit. How did I feel about this? And on my birthday too.
