*Rose's POV*

It was June and the rain was falling at a rate that no sane person would want to drive in. My windshield wipers were turned on the highest speed possible and it still wasn't enough to have a great level of visibility of the road in front of me. Some would say that they love the rain, but not me. The rain only ever brought bad things with it. A loud boom of thunder signals that the lightning isn't too far behind. Why out of all nights did the storm have to happen tonight?

The bolt of lightning lights up the entire night sky and hits a tree on the side of the road. I attempt to hit my breaks as quickly as I can as the tree comes crashing down on the pavement in front of me. Luckily for me, my old car slows down enough for the tree to hit right before the front my car slams into the side of the trunk, sending my head into the steering wheel.

Damn, that hurt. My hand immediately comes up to check for blood and of course there's a small stream of crimson flowing down my face. I grab my clutch purse from the passenger seat to pull out my cell phone in order to check for signal; just to my luck again, there is none. Out of frustration I bang on the wheel, causing the horn to keep going off. I'm sure that no one can hear me because I haven't passed a house in twenty minutes. Curse the gala for being in the middle of nowhere. Exactly what I told you, the storms bring nothing good.

Knock, knock. I look out my car window to see a man standing there, soaking wet, in a formal tuxedo. He motions for me to get out of my car but I'm hesitant to do so. What if he is a serial killer and takes me as his next victim? The possibility seems highly unlikely as he looks like he just came from the gala as well. Reluctant to do so, I get out of my car.

"Quite a storm tonight, isn't Miss?" I chuckle at his formality and only nod in response.

"Pardon me, I didn't introduce myself. My name is Harry Styles." I take the time to glance up at his face for the first time since stepping out into the rain. His once neatly styled hair is washed out and the curls are sticking to various places all over his forehead and small water droplets adorn his face. I glance down at his extended hand for a handshake and I accept the formal gesture.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Rose Collins." Still holding my hand, he brings it up to his lips to plant a light kiss to the back of it. Despite the freezing cold rain pouring down on us, a warmth fills my body from his touch. Another boom of thunder sounds before he pulls away.

"We must get going, the storm is getting worse." I look confused at this new stranger; I planned to wait out the remainder of the storm in my car. Harry nods to his fancy car behind us.

"Come on now Rose, you're going to catch a cold." I laugh and shake my head before hopping into the passenger seat. It's now, with the heat blasting in the car, that I notice my gown is completely soaked. My eyes dance around the dark leather interior until I see a car logo that I do not recognize. This must mean it's foreign and very expensive.

"Harry I really don't want to ruin your car with my dress, I'll just get out and wait for the storm to pass in my car." He shakes his head and grins.

"Nonsense, I'm just as wet. I'll send my car to the cleaners tomorrow." I'm slightly shocked at his response, obviously this man has a lot of money if he can afford to get his car cleaned that easily and on such short notice. The light melody of classical music plays in the background is making the silence a little less awkward between us.

"I already called for a tow for your car, just let me know the address." He hands me his phone and I type the address for my parking lot at the university near my dorm. I place his phone back in the center console, silence falls before Harry breaks it.
