Morning arrives sooner than expected. I yawn widely and hear gasps.
Riiiiight.
Where am I?
I glance down at my mismatched body. Scales still pattern my skin. Well wtf. Why don't I look like a boy or a girl? Why am I just androgynous? Eh I don't care right now.
Looking around I find myself in a enclosure.
People like the nurse who stuck me with the needle watch from outside the small cage. I sit in a nest within a seven meter square cage. Cameras flash outside, people taking photos and videos.
The red recording lights tick me off, I charge the idiots standing just within my range. I run right into solid, heavy, bulletproof glass.
My entire face hurts as I back up, reeling from the impact.
A reporter walks right up to the glass, unafraid of me.
"Indo, Indo, can you answer some questions for me?"
She knows my name. Indo, or Indie, is the name I gave myself when Indoraptor two point oh got too hard to remember. I walk to the glass, calmly this time.
"W-who are you?"
My voice is a mix between a growl and a young girls voice.
She smiles kindly at me.
"Mika Yuu. Reporter from Japan. Could you perhaps tell me how long you've been here?"
I frown. How long have I been here? I don't know.
"I just got here today."
She looks confused as well.
"Well how old are you?"
"I don't know."
She looks shocked.
"Have you met the other one like you? A young boy called Blue."
Blue......I don't know him.
"No. I've been alone since I woke up two days or so ago."
She nods. Then she leaves and the other people start to flow outside while others come in from the other paddocks.
I may soon go crazy.
