1 Week Later
Lily's POV
It's been a week since I slapped Harry. It's been a week since we made out in the janitor's closet. It's been a week since I cried myself to sleep for various reasons. It's been over a week since Liam and I have had a real conversation.
Yes, Liam still isn't talking to me much except for simple questions or when we're around our parents. I don't blame him for pretending around them because I'd rather not have them interrogating us.
For the past few days, Liam has been having friends come over to our house and they've literally been eating all of our food and hogging the television. I guess this is how Liam is staying away from me, by hanging out with other people instead.
Since Liam is avoiding me and Harry is just out of the question, I've been spending some time with Niall. We've gotten closer over the past few days and he even asked me to the homecoming game.
I know it's not that big of a deal, but I've never been asked out to anywhere, so I was pretty excited when he asked me. The game is tomorrow night and I've already got everything planned out. My outfit is laid out, my makeup is ready to be put on, and I already know how I'm styling my hair.
Wow, I need a life.
So it's now fifth period, also known as lunch.
I'm still sitting with Niall and some of his other friends who are really nice.
I finally met Eleanor, Louis' girlfriend, and I also met Zayn Malik. Apparently him and Liam already met, but I don't remember Liam saying anything about it. Not that he's been talking to me lately either though.
During lunch, Louis brought up Harry's name and the whole table went silent.
"Did you guys hear about Harry and Ashley? I heard they're back together and he's actually trying to make it work or somethin'." Louis said.
Niall spoke up, "Oh please, he couldn't last longer than two weeks with any girl. He uses them and then gets rid of them as if they're trash. Disgusting."
"Well I heard he asked her to the homecoming game to try and make other girls jealous." Eleanor chimed in.
Niall scoffed, "Why would they be jealous? I mean if I were a girl, I'd rather turn lesbian than go for Harry, just because he's a douche."
"Oh Niall, you're completely forgetting the fact that Styles is one of the hottest guys in our whole town." Eleanor pointed out.
"Hey!" Louis whined. "That's so not true!"
"Aww baby I wasn't counting you." Eleanor cooed.
"Yeah, you better mean that." Louis muttered.
I giggled at their interaction with each other but was interrupted when somebody bumped into the back of chair, throwing me to the ground.
"Ouch." I said.
"Oops." Ashley snickered from above me. I could barely make out the figure next to her laughing his ass off.
Harry.
"C'mon Lily. You alright?" Niall asked me while helping me to my feet. It seemed as my fall had brought the whole cafeteria's attention to our table.
"Y-yeah. I'm good."
Niall managed to get me away from them and out of the cafeteria before I embarrassed myself even more.
"Hey sorry 'bout them. They're just immature, ya know?" Niall apologized.
"No need to say sorry, Niall." I lightly smiled at him.
Somehow, my back made contact with the wall and Niall was leaning into me. He brushed away some hair from my face and I could feel his hot breath on my face.
"You're so beautiful, Lily."
I gasped when his lips made contact with mine. They were so soft and plump just like Harry's, but at the same time were so different. Wait what?
Why am I thinking about Harry's lips while I'm kissing Niall? Ugh.
I felt Niall deepen the kiss and his hands go around my waist. I pulled my arms up around his neck and brought him closer to me.
He started stroking my back and slipped his tongue into my mouth. I pulled on his bottom lip which caused him to moan out loud. He started slipping his hands under my shirt until somebody coughed, interrupting our actions.
I immediately pulled away and turned to see who coughed.
Shit... Liam.
"Get your fucking hands off my sister." Liam growled. He physically pushed Niall farther away from me.
"Liam! Who do you think you are? You can't just not talk to me for a week and then show up when I kiss Niall. Unacceptable." I stated sternly.
Liam stared at me with wide eyes. I guess he didn't actually expect me to speak up for myself with such force.
"Uh I'm gonna go, see ya later Lily and uh, Liam." He smiled awkwardly and walked away quickly.
I huffed and started walking back to the cafeteria, away from Liam. Who does he think he is? He's allowed to ignore me for over a week and then push the guy I'm kissing away from me? The fuck?
Liam pulled on my upper arm causing me to stop walking.
He sighed, "Lily, I'm sorry okay? I screwed up. I shouldn't have yelled at you before. I just get really protective and I can't stand it when I see some dude is just touching you. I know Niall's a good guy, but it doesn't matter to me. He's only allowed to touch you like that if you're married, alright?"
I could tell he was trying to joke around to lighten up the conversation. "Okay Liam, you're forgiven. And I'm sorry too for overreacting. You're just being an annoying big brother, that's all. There was no need for me to yell." I smiled.
"Hey, I'm not annoying." He fake pouted.
"Yeah, yeah." I rolled my eyes.
"Come here." He opened his arms and engulfed me in a huge bear hug. "Love you, Lil." He whispered into my hair.
"Love you Liam." I smiled.
When we pulled away, I noticed a figure behind Liam quickly hide behind a corner where they weren't visible. I made out some brown, curly hair and dark jeans.
Why was Harry spying on us?
