Sleeping Together

Lily's POV

"Hey Lil! Why are you still up? I thought you'd be asleep by now." Liam said as he walked in the family room and sat on the couch.

"I was just about to go upstairs actually. Goodnight." I said as I stood up.

"Oh okay. Well do you wanna hangout tomorrow? Or Sunday? Or maybe tomorrow and Sunday?" He asked quickly.

I mean I know Liam's been lonelier since his breakup with Ashley, but I have a life too. Well... kind of.

"Yeah maybe. I'll see what I've got going on. I still need to find a job, remember?"

"Oh right. I'll help you find a good job this weekend, don't worry."

I softly smiled at him and hugged him goodnight.

"Thank you."

He smiled back at me and I turned around to walk upstairs. Once I saw that Liam couldn't see me anymore, I quietly opened the hall closet and grabbed Harry's arm.

We were about to go upstairs when the phone rang. Damnit.

"Hello?" I heard Liam answer.

"Uh yeah, she is. I'll go get her." I heard Liam's footsteps coming closer and I shoved Harry back into the closet and leaned against the door.

"Hey Lil- what are you doing?"

"I was just putting something in the closet. What's up?"

He gave me a weird look. "Okay, well someone's on the phone for you."

I took the phone from his grasp. "Hello?"

"Hey slut. How about you get Styles out of your closet and come meet me at the local bookstore parking lot." The unfamiliar voice spoke.

"Actually, I'm quite tired. I'll call you tomorrow, kay?" I spoke sweetly.

"What? No-"

"Byee." I hung up.

"Who was that?" Liam asked.

"Just a friend from school. They wanted to hangout but I'm way too tired."

"Oh okay." Liam stepped to the side. "Excuse me."

"Huh?"

"I need to put my coat in the closet."

I panicked. "Oh here, I'll do it." I gestured for him to hand me his coat.

"Are you okay? You seem... on edge."

"Yeah I'm fine, just give me your jacket. You should go get some rest. I'm sure you've had a long day at the auto shop and all."

Liam gave me one last look before giving me his jacket and going to his room.

I sighed and put the coat in the closet and grabbed Harry's hand.

We walked up the stairs silently and slipped into my bedroom.

Once I closed the door Harry spoke up.

"Has that guy ever heard of letting you breathe once in a while?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean shouldn't he get some other friends and let you do your own thing for once?"

I rolled my eyes. "Incase you forgot Harry, he just went through and really tough breakup which you were the cause of. So don't talk about Liam that way, alright? If it weren't for your actions, he wouldn't be this way."

"It's not like I knew Ashley was gonna-"

I put my finger up to his mouth. "I don't wanna hear it. I'm tired."

Harry kissed my finger and slowly nodded. "Okay, let's sleep."

I nodded and started getting blankets for the floor. Harry noticed this and furrowed his eyebrows. "What are you doing? I'm not sleeping on the floor."

"I know that. I'm going to sleep on the floor while you take my bed."

"What, why? I thought we would both sleep on the bed." He said, picking up the blankets I just set on the ground.

"No Harry. I'm tired and I just want to go straight to sleep."

"Then we'll do just that."

He picked me up bridal style once again and placed me on the bed. He turned off the lights and covered us up with the comforter.

"See? We'll go straight to sleep."

I smiled softly at him and cuddled up with my pillow. My back was facing Harry and he put his arm around my waist while kissing the back of my neck.

"Lily, who was on the phone?"

"Just Niall." I lied.

"Why would Niall call your house phone this late?"

"My cellphone died... anyways, don't worry about it. He just wanted to talk somewhere."

I heard Harry sigh behind me, indicating he was going to let the topic go which I mentally thanked him for.

I was almost asleep when I heard Harry take a big breath and pull me closer to his chest.

He whispered into my hair.

"Please don't leave me. Even after what will happen soon, please stay with me."
