Chapter 4 - Would you go out with me?

Friday was an important day for Louis and also for Harry.
He just didn't know it yet.

Ever since Zayn had introduced 'the plan' to Louis, he'd been eager for Louis to ask Harry out. Louis, who may come across as overly confident, had a contradicting behaviour to this one, since he seemed to be extremely nervous as the tall feminine boy with chocolate curly hair and Hawaiian shirts intimidated Louis (although he couldn't let Zayn know that).

What if he rejected Louis ? What would happen then ? Their whole plan would fall apart and they'd have to think of something new and less interesting to go with. Worse could be, if Harry rejected Louis and told the whole school that Louis was gay and tried to hit on him? That would be a big red stamp on Louis' reputation.

On thinking of all those things, Louis backed out and told Zayn he couldn't do it. Zayn was a charm worker. He managed to convince Louis. But Louis was no novice, he only agreed to ask Harry out after Zayn decided to offer money. 30 quid for asking Harry out (they settled on this amount after a lot of negotiation). Quite a profit if you asked him. I mean, being paid to ask out the hottest dude in the school on date ? Hell to the yeah.

However, that did not, not make Louis question all those things again. He was still afraid to ask the cute curly.
Louis had occasionally tried to talk to Harry and they'd have a silent conversation, since both of them were so shy. He knew his favourite colour was baby pink and that he made horrible jokes which somehow made Louis laugh.

Every time Zayn would ask about when he's gonna ask Harry out, the reply would almost always be 'tomorrow' or sometimes 'maybe later' to not sound repetitive and avoid further questioning.

But Friday the 28th was different. Louis had, with a firm mind, decided that he will make sure and ask Harry out that day itself. He was nervous the whole day and tried not to think about it and ask the same question to himself which he'd asked more than a thousand times now, 'what if I mess up' but had found no appropriate response to.

As for Harry, his first week in his new school had been an absolute joy. He'd become very good friends with Niall who was a great fellow to be around and was easily Harry's favourite since he always genuinely laughed at Harry's terrible knock-knock jokes. Liam had also become good friends with Harry, and mostly talking about music as they discovered they had similar taste in that bracket. Liam also learned that Harry could sing pretty damn good and was in a band in his school back in Cheshire. Other than these two, Harry managed to make friends with other people in school like, Edward Sheeran (people called him Ed for short), who was a scruffy ginger. Harry met Ed in chemistry class (Louis was in this class too but he arrived late that day) and they had a very 'Potter and Weasley' moment.

Harry would meet Niall and Liam before retiring to the next classes of the day, near his locker. The pair continued to tease Harry about the peeing incident and enjoyed watching Harry's cheeks go red. It had been a week and Harry refused to admit he had a tiny (very tiny) crush on Louis Tomlinson. Even to himself. Liam and Niall, regardless, would tease him with Louis, passing comments like, 'aw you and your boo both wore band tees today, true love!' 'watching the tension between the two of you is more interesting than cable' and some sing-song ones like 'Harry and Louis sitting on a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g' and so forth.
No matter how much Harry rolled his eyes up front and told them to 'oh shut your pie hole', he secretly LOOOOVED being teased by Louis' name and having the butterflies feeling in his tummy. Even when Harry and Louis would exchange looks or talk to each other in the hallway, Liam and Niall would not stop with the oos and ahhs. What children.

Yes, Harry knew Louis was straight. But he was also single (atleast he thought so since Niall and Liam never mentioned any "girlfriend" and he didn't particularly see any girl with him. Sure, girls flirted with him, but none were couple-y with him, so it was safe to assume he was single) and being single, he could have the possibility of being gay. Yup, that's Harry logic. He'd gone over it and it seemed perfectly plausible. Even if he's not gay or bi or whatever, Harry had been crushing on straight men since the dawn of his gay ages. And he was okay with it.
