Caleb and I were walking around Rome, Italy. The ship was docked for a few days giving us an opportunity to explore the famous historic city. Both of us decided to try the cuisine, like the pizza and pasta dishes. Even the gelato!
Plus, we made sure we didn't have anything in our pockets since Bailey warned us of pickpockets. Caleb had a fanny-pack which Zack mocked about calling it a dork pouch where he kept our money. I had a small backpack, which had back up batteries for my camera and my phone. To play it safe, I had Caleb carry my money in his fanny-pack instead of bringing my wallet with me.
Both of us came across London and Bailey. However, Bailey ended being the pack mule as she carried a ton of shopping bags for London. That airhead sure needs to get a wagon instead of having someone carry all of her expensive purchases!
"London, I am sick of shopping," Bailey remarked as she hauled the bags.
"You're not shopping, you're schlepping," London smirked at her.
"Yeah, about that-."
London shushed her when a street performer began singing in Italian and playing his guitar. I too noticed the musician himself was good looking as she approached him completely awestruck. When it came to guys, especially the good looking ones, London would go for them. After I met Caleb and included him in my group of friends, London never went ditzy around him and only saw him as a friend.
The crowd around us applauded the musician when his song ended. London pulled out a bunch of cash from her wallet and placed it on the guitar case.
"No, no. I don't play for money," the musician shook his head and handed the cash back to London, "I play for love."
"Love. I love love," London sighed and the musician kissed her hand. Turns out chivalry wasn't dead after all!
"Bella," the musician smiled at her.
London giggled, "Actually, my name is London."
"No, Bella means 'pretty' in Italian," Bailey corrected her.
"It also originated in Latin meaning 'promise of God,''' I added.
"I see you speak Italian," the musician smiled at Bailey and approached her, "As well as being able to carry six times your weight in bags."
"London, these are getting really heavy," Bailey stated as the weight of the shopping bags was starting to get to her.
"So take them back to the ship," London demanded.
"I am not your servant."
"Here's 50 bucks."
London slid some cash into Bailey's pocket.
"Let me get that for you, ma'am," Bailey smiled like she was a hostess. And I thought she was hard to bribe with!
Caleb and I went over to her just as she was about to hail a cab while London stayed with the musician.
