Chapter 19

Sophie lied on the cell floor for what felt like hours until she heard the cell bars being opened. She didn't bother to look until what felt like a body came crashing into her. " Fitz?" Sophie said as her vision cleared. " Yeah" Fitz responded " Why are you here?" Sophie asked trying to keep the concern out of her voice. " Long story short the Neverseens threatened to harm our parents and we said they would take us instead." Fitz said looking off into the distance. "What do you mean we" Sophie asked. "Well you don't think Biana and Keefe would let me go on my on" Fitz said pointing to a cell right next to us where Biana and Keefe lay on the ground. " Yeah Foster, you and Fitz always go on the cool adventures we wanted to come too. Also who else will prevent you from making out" Keefe said with a smirk causing Sophie and Fitz to turn bright red and scoot away from each other. "Oh shut up Keefe we need to focus" Biana said snapping Sophie out of her brainstorming. "Wait I think I have an idea" Sophie said walking over to Fitz ignoring the smirk plastered on Keefes face. Sophie whispered to Fitz her plan before she stepped back allowing  Fitz to steady himself. Then Sophie took a deep breath and focused on the sensation she felt when she was drawing energy. Finally  the familiar fluorescent yellow light started flying out of Fitz in all directions. Slowly Sophie started moving her hands towards the cell bars the energy flung itself at the cell bars. Suddenly Sophie heard foot steps. Sophie had no idea what to do and by the looks on her friends faces they didn't know either. As the foot steps came closer Sophie, without thinking snapped her fingers causing the energy's bright color to vanish. The figure causing the footsteps finally stopped in right in front of the two cells the friends were in. Sophie couldn't tell who it was until the man pulled back his hood revealing the all to familiar face of Fintan. " Well if it isn't Sophie Foster and part of her little gang of troublemakers" Fintans said with a sly smile.   Sophie couldn't stand the look on his face and without thinking she quickly stared to drain Fintan of his energy. Sophie could feel it swirling around her but she made sure to keep the color away without snapping. It almost felt as if she was transmitting directions to the energy. Sophie knew she wasn't it it was the best way to describe it. 

Slowly the color started to fade from Fintans face. Sophie decided to stop before she blurted out " how did you escape". Fintan started to laugh. A cold dark laugh that gave everyone shivers. " I would love to tell you but I can't" Fintan said as he limped out of the room.
