When Francine woke up, it was nighttime. She felt a bug crawling on her arm and jumped up, shaking it off. She heard talking and shouting far away. They must be searching for her. She quickly wiped herself off in case any other bugs or animals were on her. It was extremely dangerous in the jungle, especially at night. Francine figured her best bet was to get away from the yells and find a safe little nook to hide in. Thus, she took action as fast as she could. She began to run and run and run, avoiding what plants she could; that way she'd be less likely to get a bunch of rashes or poison on her skin.
All she could see was jungle. Trees, bugs, and plants. "My yeezys!" She cried. Francine's dear shoes were soaked and covered in dirt, mud, and who knows what else. She fell to the ground, throwing her fists up and sobbing. "NOT MY YEEZYS!" Tears streamed down her face. But then she realized how loud she was being and clapped a hand to her mouth. She got up fast, glancing around. She had gotten away from the monkey voices, but now she felt like the jungle had its eyes on her. She pushed aside some giant leaves and quietly kept moving on. She was exhausted at this point, but Kylie's words kept burning in her heart.
"Hey, little girl," a voice said. Francine froze, shook to the core. "Up here," it whispered. Francine slowly looked up, using a hand to shield her head in case something were to attack from above or poop on her. Upon a large, sturdy branch was a giant snake dressed in a clown suit. "It's safe up here," it said. "After all, it is the Safe Branch." "Um..." Francine started. "How can I trust you? Also why the mcnuggs are you wearing that?" The snake looked extremely offended, pulling back its head. "It's 2018! Can't I wear what I want without being harassed?" It hissed. After apologizing, Francine started to climb up. The snake helped her climb by wrapping itself around her and lifting her up.
"So what brings you here?" The snake asked. "Well, the monkey King wants to marry me and I have no idea what the heck is going on. So I'm running away from the monkeys, and trying to survive," Francine answered. The snake beeped its red nose with its tail, its rainbow afro slipping a bit to the side. "Well that's not fun. But it's safe here on the safe branch." It wrapped its tail around her shoulders, smiling in a weird snake way. Francine felt her ear hairs tingle in uncomfortableness. "Want to see how wide I can open my mouth..?" The snake asked. "Uh, not really," Francine answered. The snake removed its tail from her shoulders and used it to grab a giant bug. "K," the snake answered. It ate the bug. "Everything is tasty to me," the snake said. "That's nice..?" Francine replied, unsure of what was happening.
"Hey, what's your name?" The snake asked her. "Francine. Yours?" "Hmm..." The snake thought. "My name shall be Snekky the Snek. But just think of me as Snekky." Francine was feeling somewhat calmer. It was starting to become dawn. "I should get going," she said. "NO!" Snekky sputtered. "You can't leave! It's...dangerous. Dangerous!" The snake pressed the flower on its shirt and liquid squirted out onto Francine's face. "You'll stay." "I'll stay," Francine said robotically, hypnotized. "Good!" Snekky grinned. It laughed and let itself swing around on the branch. Fairly soon, it fell asleep.
I must stay, Francine thought. "I must stay."
