* AMARAS POV *

I open my eyes from tossing and turning in my bed for what seemed like hours.

As I wake up I feel an eerie chill as I look around the room.

I'm not sure what's wrong but I ignore it and carry on with my day, I have work to do, the house needs to be cleaned before I can study.

I head to the small bathroom in the corner of my room and stare into the mirror with the large crack going down the middle.

I examine my curly brown hair that fell effortlessly over my left eye.

There wasn't anything wrong with my left eye, I just liked my hair kind of flopped over it.

"AMARA!! DID YOU FINISH CLEANING?!" I hear Medorah's voice boom in the distance

"NO! I'll do it now mada-"

Wait....how am I here?

No wait, I was out!

I was home!

I...I..I did everything!

"Matthew?! Nathanial?! Father?! No, no, no, no, this isn't happening! I left this place I was out! I was out!"

I'm screaming and crying at the top of my lungs as I feel the room spinning around me.

Everything is blurry.

I can feel my body heating up and I sit down to try and gain composure but I can't

"Please don't tell me it was a dream! I was happy! I was happy for once! No God, no!! Please!"

"Whatever sick fantasy dream you had.... it's gone."

I look to see where the voice was coming from and it was Malcolm and Jacob at the door.

The voice came from Malcom who held on tightly to a letter opener

"I don't think she quite understands yet Malcom, maybe we need to beat it out of her again" Jacob says with an evil look on his face.

They start to approach me slowly and I scream

"NO! NO GET AWAY FROM ME! NOOO!"

I lift my body to sit up straight

I'm home

I'm in my room!

I examine the dark room around me and take in every detail.

The nightstand which laid next to my bed.

My sheer white blankets

The necklace of wings around my neck and my charm bracelet laying comfortably on my wrist.

I take a moment to look at my left hand and examine the little diamond ring on my ring finger.

"I'm home....I'm okay"

"Amara? You okay my love?"

I hear the voice coming from the left of me and look to see Matthew slowly waking up, placing a hand on my shoulder and rubbing it slowly to comfort me

"I'm okay...just a bad dream...that's all" I say to him reassuring that I'm alright

This is my 3rd nightmare this week, and for some reason it keeps on replaying the same moments of my life before I died.

"Mommy?" I hear a small voice come from the door in my room.

I see the small girl standing in the doorway rubbing her eyes, with dread in her eyes.

Her long brown hair flows with its very subtle curls at their ends which reaches past her waist. The room is dark but I can still see the green tint in her eyes and the pink blush in her cheeks.

"My beautiful Seraphina...are you okay baby girl?" I say to her as I motion her to come near me

She comes towards me and I lift her onto the bed, laying her in the middle of me and Matthew

"I had a nightmare again...." she says softly while digging into my chest

"Aw baby it's okay...mommy and daddy are here."

"Tell us what happened my angel." Matthew says to her while moving the hair from her face

"Bad people want hurt me..." she says in her tiny baby voice.

I know I need to comfort her in this moment, but she is just so cute with her tiny little body and voice.

"What people?" I say to her holding onto her tiny hand.

"Well....one lady call herself Merorah, the boy was Jacob and the other boy was Macom" she says to me struggling to say the names

I pause for a moment and me and Matthew look at each other

"Medorah, Malcolm, and Jacob?" I say to her

"Yah! Them! They want hurt me mommy!"

"I promise you that until my last dying breath I won't let anything hurt you.....okay?"

She shakes her head yes to me and starts to her comfortable.

She rests her head against Matthew as I continue to hold onto her hand.

"Matthew...is she having the same dreams as me?" I say to him in a whisper trying not to wake my daughter

"That's impossible....she's not even an Angel, she can't be connected like that?" He says to me in response

"Well something is going on because this isn't her first nightmare this week either!...."

"We can't talk about this now...she turns four tomorrow and not everything is ready for her party.

I give him a small smile, remembering just how lucky we are to have her in our lives.

He starts to get comfortable in bed again but keeps a concerned look on his face, as do I.

I listen to the little girls heartbeat and hear her thoughts wander.

In her mind she's praying.

She's scared and is asking to be protected from the bad people.

She moves her head to face me now and I couldn't help but stare at her.

I leave a small kiss on her head and watch her more before I drift off into sleep.

Matthew as fallen asleep but I remain awake watching her...making sure she's okay....

Before I fall asleep I say once last thing to her

"Goodnight Seraphina....I love you"

And I finally drift off into sleep, holding onto the two people that are most important to me tightly.

As if scared I will loose them if I fall asleep.
