I woke up to my sister rummaging though my closet, not trying to be quiet.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I asked groggily, sitting up slowly.
Georgia turned around and smiled like she wasn't just caught.
"Morning Mel! Hope you don't care, but I have a date tonight and I needed to look for a cute shirt."
I frowned, holding back an eye roll. "We've been in a new school for a week and you already have a date?" I said.
She yanked a blue off the shoulder shirt off of a hanger and held it under her arm. Then, she nodded.
"A guy on the football team asked me out, so we're going out for pizza. It's no big deal." She said nonchalantly.
I shook my head. "Don't stain my shirt." I said, while rubbing my eyes.
"Thanks, you're the best Mel!" She squealed and ran out of my room.
Rolling over, I picked up my phone, even though my eyes were still blurry.

G: Morning Melody, I've been thinking about you a lot.

My heart did another flip.

Me: Funny thing is I have no idea who you are and I've been thinking about you too.

G: You know another funny thing? I don't know much about you either. All I know is you came from New Jersey and wear converse every day. Tell me something interesting.

Me: My favorite word is soliloquy and I hate gym class. There, two for the price of one. That's all you get to know for now. At least until I find out who you are.

G: hmm. you're complicated. I like that.

I set my phone down on my bed and flopped back on my pillows, trying to figure out what is happening. Although my life is somewhat of a mess, something good finally happened. Well at least I think it's a good thing. It could be a cruel prank put together by the bitchy Mean Girls-looking- group of girls from Spanish class. But that's a risk I'm willing to take.
