it's four o'clock in the morning and soonyoung is still up, with all books piled up on the desk. he's been studying for hours now, and still couldn't get some of the lessons quite right. it's such a pain to have a full on academic course just for the sake of getting a "decent" job- well, whatever the society defines as decent and successful. soonyoung really wants to do his best. other than being successful, he plans on doing this because maybe, just maybe, his father would learn to accept him this way.

and he knew he had to stop scrolling. he could just study to keep his mind occupied.
"hooke's law. hmm, pretty basic," he nods and starts to solve. the phone rings and he tries to ignore it, but seeing jihoon's name on the screen is a bit too much of a distraction. he just can't help but to stop solving to answer the call.
"hello?" soonyoung lets the swivel chair slide down the floor to get to his window. he moves the curtain a bit to take a look at the window across his view, which is the one to jihoon's room. and he's right, the boy is there, looking like he's been waiting for him to peek.
"sorry to interrupt your study time," jihoon chuckles "would you mind if come over for a bit?"
soonyoung purses his lips for a quick second and shakes his head, "i also wouldn't mind if you bring food."
"like, ramen?" jihoon asks, showing soonyoung a cup of noodles with a suggestive look. the latter laughs at how cute it looked like, and nods as a response. "my dad is already asleep though, you need to be quiet, no playing music out loud, okay?" soonyoung adds.
"okay, i'll be there in a bit!" jihoon ends the call and waves at his friend.
