☁️☀️☁️soonyoung's father comes home drunk.
the adult steps inside the house, with the scent of alcohol all over him. he's supposed to return in the afternoon, but decides to go for the morning. "soonyoung?" he slurs as he drags himself upstairs to his son's room, where the boys were still asleep.
sunlight passes through the blinds and watches jihoon wake up, finding himself buried in soonyoung's chest. the faint sweet scent of velvet-petaled roses fills his senses and lulls him more to sleep. he smiles, basking the warmth while soonyoung yawns and cuddles him closer. honestly, jihoon wouldn't mind waking up like this every morning.
until the knob starts to turn.
soonyoung's dad opens the door, and raw anger shoots through him upon seeing the two boys on the same bed. he hastens to pull his son upright, and soonyoung screams in horror as he tries to get away from the grip. the boy gets pressed to the wall, and jihoon couldn't do anything but to cry. he never expected the man to be someone who would hit his son and shout at him for the smallest of things. never, and yet he's here, seeing the drunk figure toss his own son in different directions,
a closed fist cracks across and soonyoung falls with the force of it. the strength wasn't all too much to knock him out but the boy was completely shattered nonetheless. his dad continues to lash out on his son, watching him with grim satisfaction, enjoying the sting on his knuckles.
jihoon cries helplessly as he watches the huge hands grip his friend's throat along with that sickening slurs of a drunken fool. "I NEVER RAISED YOU TO BE LIKE THIS!" the man screams and chucks soonyoung down the wooden floor "I NEVER RAISED A FAG!"
"do you think i wanted this!?" soonyoung cries out through gritted teeth "all my life i was afraid to fucking tell you who i am because i know that you won't ever support me! i know that you will only push me away because it hurts your pride to know the truth! but i'm so fucking happy for you that you find it easy to step away from me. because you have to understand, i have spent most of my life attempting to run away from myself!"
"so now you're fighting back?" his father scowls and lifts another hand "aren't you supposed to be some weak fucking pretty boy? isn't that who you are? but last time i checked i didn't raise a cock sucker!"
"let go of me!" soonyoung's voice cracks. he could feel himself shake as his father's temptation to hurt him fills his bloodstream even more. the adult snickers and grabs his son by the hair, "don't you like boys touching you, soonyoung? isn't that what you're fucking thirsty for? cock slut! you're disgusting!"
"stop fucking hurting him!" jihoon screams and makes a run towards the drunk figure "if you don't accept him, then we'll leave! how could you call yourself a father if you're the one making your son believe that he's disgusting for being gay? that he's going to hell? your hatred and ignorance are blinding you so much that it could take away your own son!"
"another fucking fag!" the adult spits on jihoon's face then forcefully grabs his son's hair with one hand and points at him, running on sheer anger. "this is no longer your home so stay the fuck out, whore!"
"gladly," soonyoung grunts and gets hit for the last time, then jihoon runs to hug him. he curls up and starts to cry with his friend. jihoon holds him tightly and repeatedly whispers through shaky breaths that everything will be okay. but soonyoung doesn't believe those words anymore, no matter how hard he tries.
soonyoung is tired of feeding on the pain, swallowing it whole before it devours him. jihoon gently plants a kiss on soonyoung's cheek scorched red and holds his arms covered with galaxy tattoos. shattered sunlight is seeping from his skin as fifty hurricanes wreck his insides at once.
