Apple Pie to The Rescue

Seth's POV

It was late in the afternoon, I decided to skip school even though my parents will probably get pissed off. I havent been eating for the past few days knowing my best friend is upset. Terry and I's realtionship is real tight, we've always had each others back. I go to the hospital with his favorite dessert, apple pie hoping to apologize.

"hey," I walk in greeting Terry

"hi," he responds

"hey man," but before I could say another word Terry starts crying

"please dont apologize it was my fault for lashing out at you, " Terry whispers

"we cool dude," I asked excitedly

"yup, do I smell apple pie," he asked

"yes you do my friend, yes you do, but since you already accepted my apology looks like I don't need to bribe you anymore so im just gonna eat this all by myself!" I exclaimed

" You my friend are messing with the wrong guy here, just because I have cancer doesnt mean I can't still punch you, " Terry smirked

This is what I missed, just Terry and I hanging without any worries it reminds of how our lives were back then. We both changed a lot. I had bags under my eyes because I hadn't slept since we heard Terry had cancer. Terry had stress lines all over his face and im sure he's tired of lying on the hospital bed all day but he gets tired easily. I guess that part of the whole cancer thing.

"mmh," Terry moaned in pleasure

I was lost in my own thoughts when I found Terry stuffing his whole pie in his face leaving the crumbs and pieces of the apple to be all over his face and clothes

" dude thanks for saving me some, " I said sarcastically

"sorry I was hungry, " he replied with pie still on his mouth

" you could have at least used a fork and a plate," I scolded acting like his mother causing him to chuckle

" im a man, men eat like this," stated Terry

" yeah whatever you say,"
