ii|Red & White.
"Holy shit. I'm late." I cussed sprinting out of my bed to the bathroom to do my business. I rush out after 15 minutes and hastily put on my clothes. I chose to go with an olive green crop top and white high-waisted jeans. I applied some mascara, a little eyeliner and nude lip gloss and pulled on my white sneakers which had red roses on one side of it. I then rushed down from my bedroom to the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar.
My mom had already left to go to the bakery since they were opening the bakery earlier today. I do not know the reason why and I didn't bother asking. My dad generally leaves by 7:30 am and right now it was 7:45 am so he wasn't home either. Dad always drops Landon off to school so he isn't here either. I generally hug Landon and tell him to have a good day but today because of my damn alarm, I could do none of the things I generally do. If I don't get up at my usual time i.e. 7am then mom wakes me up. But today I guess because she needed to be at the bakery early and so she had to make breakfast for everyone too, the thought slipped off her mind. School begins at 8 am and it takes me 20 minutes to reach there. I am so screwed. I generally walk to school because it's better than entering the noisy bus and it also works as an exercise apart from the exercise coach makes me do for hockey. But today I can't even do that. Stupid, stupid alarm.
I boarded the bus and reached school in 10 minutes which is exactly 7:59. Thank god the gates weren't closed for another minute. I slung my backpack over my shoulders and sprinted the little ground to reach the gates of my school. At that exact time my phone decided to chime scaring me out of my skin. I forgot to put that damn electronic on silent. Jeez. Lacey's name pops up on my phone once I draw it out of my pocket and I smile at the screen looking at the picture. We and a few of our friends had gone to a party when we were in our sophomore year since Lacey dragged me —against my will— and we were hanging out with the jocks. One of them was Lacey's boyfriend at that time. We were simply dancing together with Lacey's boyfriend on her waist.
At that time I wasn't paired with Sebastian so he wasn't anywhere near me so he could flirt. The party was actually in Sebastian's house. Since Lacey and I were tired dancing, we went to the kitchen to drink something. Lacey forced me to down some beer and one thing leads to another, that day was the first time I drank and the next morning was my worst hangover. I actually liked alcohol but after that night I never dared touching that bottle. Anyways, Lacey and I both were drunk and we decided to take some pictures in the kitchen with our beer glasses. So we took some selfies; some group pictures and some crazy ass weird pictures. The next morning I couldn't control my laughing or my puking. Trust me, kids, stay away from alcohol. Even if you love it. My parents were fine with me drinking and partying and stuff so I wasn't in trouble but Lacey surely was. In my house only I was the religious one and that was because of my grandmother who lives no more. In Lacey's house her mother worships God more than her husband and job so she was in great trouble that night and even in her drunk state, she remembered what her mother did to her the last time she came home tipsy and so she stayed in my house that night. Anyways, I went and confessed my sin to the priest in church that Sunday.
