Niall went to the bar with Zayn after breakfast and bidding Liam a sweet farewell. The three had plenty of work hours today, so the Irishman couldn't help but feel antsy when leaving the taller brunette's side.

The tatted man helped him calm down with a few words of reassurance and a kiss here and there, it helping enough for Niall to focus on working and letting the hours slip by fast.

It went just like that, Niall trying his best to not look down at the watch Zayn gave him, but he felt certainly surprised when seeing his parents walk in during his last few hours.

“Mom, dad? What're you two doing here?” The Irishman had to ask as Zayn made drinks by his side, Nick handling the drinks with their new coworkers, Luke and Ashton.

Bobby smiled a bit, “just here to see what you do and catch up with you some more. We rarely see you, after all, and ordering a drink also seemed appropriate.” Niall chuckled, nodding as he already made what his father used to enjoy when they lived together.

It made the elder man smile when seeing said drink, wanting to pay, but Niall shook his head as Bobby began sipping at the drink.

“On the house, dad, and I mean it.” Bobby nodded, slipping it into the tip jar instead with a subtle wink towards Zayn as Niall didn't pay any attention towards his action.

The tatted man laughed softly, shaking his head until looking up to see Nick walk towards the bar with a smile on his face.

“Luke and Ashton are doing surprisingly well, and I'm glad that I hired two new people rather than just one, good idea, Zee.” The taller one of the two hummed, averting his eyes to Maura to give her the drink she ordered with a soft and kind voice.

Nick turned as well and smiled big, “are you two Niall's parents? I'm glad to finally meet you after the many months of waiting.” Bobby and Maura shook his hand when necessary, giving him kind nods after sipping their drinks as Niall helped someone else.

“You two as well, sweetie. We hope that you haven't been pushing our young man too far with this job for the past... year?” Nick nodded at Maura, placing the hand towel over his shoulder as he took a seat next to her.

“Don't you worry about a thing. Niall has been working exceptionally hard, even through his transition. The fact that he's fully through it all though, makes him more confident and hardworking, which is obviously great.” The parents smile, taking sips from their drinks as Niall came back to make his specific orders.

“Well, we appreciate him more now than ever before with how determined he's become. We know that our behavior before was awful, and it took too long for us to realize that, but I hope he knows that we do love him and nothing will ever change that.” Niall heard every bit of his father's words and couldn't help but tear up immediately, Zayn going right to his side when hearing the subtle sniffling.

“Happy tears, Zee, don't worry.” The tatted man hummed, kissing the frailer males head before letting him hug his parents on the other side of the counter. They smiled big when holding Niall in their arms, kissing his head repeatedly as tears also filled their eyes.

The three stayed just like that for a few minutes, Zayn and Nick getting back to work as Bobby and Maura would occasionally whisper something into Niall's ear, either making him laugh or groan jokingly.

The Irishman eventually went back to work, Bobby and Maura taking their leave after receiving another hug and kiss from their son to do their own shifts for the long day.

Zayn snuck in a quick kiss as well, making the younger male laugh softly whilst creating one of his many concoctions, trying his best not to mess up even if he wanted a real taste of the elder males lips on his own.
