Chapter #2: A New Friend

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY. I didn't update on Saturday because I was busy with helping my cousins out with something.

"- Stitch the heart cutout to the dolls chest, in the proper place of the heart, and then you can control that person against their will. To kill that person, take a needle and shove it into the heart cutout..." You read aloud. You where sitting criss cross on the floor reading a Voodoo book. While you read out loud, you where making another doll. You didn't have the dream again, it was a different dream about a girl who finds a portal to an alternate universe created by her ' other mother'.
It was a very confusing dream, since you didn't finish having it. You where making a doll of the girl in your dream, even though you forgot her name you didn't forget how she looked. You picked up a black button and started sewing it in. " If you don't have enough materials to make a doll, use s-spons? Spo-on? Spoon!" You pronounced spoon like spawn, but kept reading. " Use spoons, markers, and pipe cleaners."

Even though you where doing two things at the same time, you didn't forget the dream. What did it mean? No clue. " Y/n! Are you up?" " YEAH!" No matter how softly someone yelled to you, you would always respond by yelling your voice box out. Your door opened and Sally walked in. " Come on." You smiled and stood up. Sometimes, Sally would take you outside with her to restock on more Frogs Breath, Worms Wart, and Deadly Nightshade. Sometimes she would catch you eating some of the worms wart or a deadly nightshade petal like it was candy, you couldn't lie, they both tasted amazing. You pulled on your cloak and pulled the hood over your head. Sally opened the door and you two walked to the grave site.
Sally went to a grave with the Deadly Nightshade, while you just wandered around behind her. You glanced at the Jack-O-Lantern shaped sun by the spiral hill. You heard something in a bush and you walked over to it. A snake poked it's head out and it's tounge flickered out. " Aww." You crouched down and stuck out your hand, the snake slithered up your arm and rested on your shoulders. " Sally look, i made a friend!" Sally looked over her shoulder to see the sand colored snake on your shoulders. " Aw, how cute." Sally stood up, walked over to you, and rubbed the top of the snakes head. " I shall call him: Cornflake."You examined Cornflake. It's was missing an eye and chunks of it's skin was missing, and it looked like something ate through it.

Sally laughed at you. " Whatever sails your ship." " You and Jack sail my ship." Sally laughed again with you and she went back to picking the Deadly Nightshade. You looked around the graveyard and found a mouse. You picked it up and held it in front of Cornflake. Cornflake snatched the mouse from your hand, bit into it, and swallowed it. ( I just remembered that big ass snake in the 'Making Christmas' part of the movie. Cornflake is smaller than that, so don't get Cornflake confused with that one.) " Alright, let's go." Sally said, holding the now full jar of Deadly Nightshade in her hands. " Okay!" You two started walking, you trying to get one of the flowers out of the jar but Sally kept slapping your hand away. " Y/n, stop it!" You managed to get a flower when she wasn't looking a started to put the petals in your mouth, and Cornflake flicked his tounge out at it. You picked off a petal and put it in front of it's mouth, Cornflake also snatched that out of your hand.

" Okay, you know the Witches better than me, so get some worms wart and frogs breath. " You nodded. " On it!" You two where already at the front door of their shop, so you walked in. " Hey guys!" " Y/n! Come in, come in Darling." The tallest witch said. " What do you need today?" " Worms Wart  and Frogs Breath." The shortest witch pulled two jars out of a cabinet and set them on the counter. You took out two ' Souls' that where in the shape of Jack-O-Lanterns and set them on the counter. You then picked up the jars. " Bye Lady's!" You waved at them and they waved back. You met up with Sally beside the shop. " Got em!" " Alright then, let's go. You need to get that electric cast over your heart today, anyway."

You where now sitting at the desk, finishing up the little doll you started working on a few hours ago. Cornflake was curled on the windowsill, basking in the dimly lit sun. You where finishing up the hair on the doll when Cornflake slithered onto the top of the desk to look at what you where doing. You put the doll down, picked up Cornflake, and set him around your neck. Cornflake curled around your neck and watched you take out two buttons for the eyes.
Cornflake moved his head in front of your eyes, making you loose sight of the doll in front of you. You laughed a little and moved it's head to beside yours. " Do you like kids?" You asked the snake. It didn't respond, of course, but you continued to talk to it. " I think they'll love you. They might like snakes. " You finished up with the eyes and set down the needle. You held the blue haired doll in your hands and smiled. " Whaddya think?" No answer. " What should I name her? Carolyn?" Cornflake had it's head down. " Caroline? Hmm, nah. She's more of a... Coraline. Not much of a difference, but at least the name sounds original. I think." You set ' Coraline' in the basket beside your desk and stood up. You set Cornflake on the windowsill and walked to your bed.

" Get him away from me!" You where holding a snake up to the face of a girl. " Come on Sasha it's not sca- AHHHAHA GOD!!" You had moved the snake from in from of Sasha's face, to Liam's face. Ben was the only one that was interested in the Snake. " What's his name?" " Huh, I haven't named him yet. It has to be something with corn in it."

" Cornball?" " Nah."
" Cornrows?" " No."
" CORNFLAKE!"

You snapped you fingers. " That's perfect! Cornflake the snake! It has a nice ring to it."

A skinned body of a person replaced Everyone in the room and the bright lights of the room. The person was laying on the ground, and started twitching. It's mouth opened wide and bugs spilled out of it, making you scream. You hate bugs, and the tightness of the room didn't help with your mild case of Claustrophobia. You tried to back away, but you got cornered up.

Your breathing became heavy and a spider jumped on your face. You screamed and started stumbling around, trying to get the spider off of your face. You felt something push you and you opened your eyes. You where falling off a cliff of some sort.
