Chapter #6: Snake and Spider Stew

" Why did you bring us here?" " Because, you three have to do something else besides hanging around the tree house and shooting down the crows. " The three children behind you groaned, but you ignored it. Instead, you where focused on the Zombie kid, the Mummy kid, and the Bat kid playing in the middle of the road. " Hey, while I'm running my errands, why don't you guys go make some friends?" The trio looked at you with a disgusted look on their faces. " 'Make Friends' with those nerds? I'll pass." " Finally, something we can agree on!" Shock and Lock started. You looked at the spot Barrel was at, but he was gone. " Where's your brother?!" You started to panic. " He's over there." Lock pointed behind you and you turned around.
Barrel was talking with the other three kids and they seemed like they where taking a liking to him. " Oh. Well, see? Barrel seems like he's having fun. Don't be so antisocial." Shock tilted her head and bit her lip, breaking the skin off of it a little. She took a breath in and stood up from the fountain, making her way over to her brother and the three others. " Lock? Do you want to go meet some new kids with your siblings?" Lock shook his head and crossed his arms. " No." He spat. " Alright. Well, you get to go shopping with me. Come on." Lock groaned and followed you. You walked into the Witches shop and noticed that they weren't at the counter. " Huh, they must be restocking their Inventory. Come on then." You and lock walked to where the food was. " What you guys want for supper? Or.. what do you see that you and your Siblings like?" Lock looked around and walked off to get something.
He came back with two cans. One was a can of Spiders, the Other one was a can of Snakes. " We like Snake and Spider Stew. You know how to cook it?" Lock asked. You covered the side of Cornflakes head, not wanting him to hear your response. " Of course I do! That was the first thing Sally taught me how to cook!" You uncovered Cornflakes nonexistent ears and continued shopping.

You and trio where walking back to the tree house when Barrel stopped you. " Wait, we have to wait for Shock." " Oh... Where is she?" Barrel pointed over to show that Shock was looking at the Hanging Tree with the Mini Skeletons hanging on it. You walked over to her. " Shock, what is it?" Shock shook her head. " Nothing, I was just looking at that thing." She pointed at the tree. " Okay, but you have to come on. I'm cooking a surprise for you three. Lock told me." Shock reluctantly followed, but kept glancing back at the tree.

You gutted the last snake and got its guts into the container full of other snake guts and you let go of the knife, shaking your hands because of how long you've been holding the thing. " Okay guys, C'mere and roll the guts for me." Sally had told you that you had to roll the guts into balls and cook them in the furnace BEFORE adding them into the Stew. You also had to cut the legs off the spiders and just pop them into the Stew. Occasionally you would pop some in your mouth. " What kind of Spiders are these?" Shock asked, hoisting herself onto the counter and picking a spider up. " Black Widows." Shock gasped and popped the spider in her mouth. " I love these spiders!"
" Yeah, Lock said you like them." Shock swallowed the deadly spider and hummed to herself. " Finally, something you didn't screw up." She turned to attention to the red head and smirked. " Hey what's that supposed to mean?!" " It means you screw everything up." Lock grabbed Shocks leg and dragged her off the counter. The next hour were of them fighting each other until the Stew was finished.
