As the journey to the temple continues, Mickey and Olivia stopped to eat near a pond. Mickey was lost in his spellbook while Olivia continued feasting on the broiled fish they caught earlier. She chuckled as she remembered the look on the young mouse's face when he attempted to impress her by catching fish without magic. Granted, she didn't understand the boy's true meaning behind it, but it was still very interesting. There was just something about Mickey that was so innocent, genuine, and adorable. "Hey, Olivia look! I think I might have gotten a little better" the dragon turned to see the Mickey pulling out his wand to conjure up a spell. A sparkle of energy spouted from his wand as Mickey moved it from side to side. Mickey waved his wand in pride as Olivia watched in awe; he felt that he was finally able to impress her. However, his pride was short-lived as the big ball of energy exploded sending small sparks of magic all around the pond. The surprised duo ducked and dodged unaware that one of the sparks actually hit an unsuspecting frog. It's usually green skin turned red, and its tail elongated as it grew cat-shaped ears. Its croak sounded more like chirp as it's gold eyes focused on a butterfly, and began to give chase. Once the duo was in the clear, Mickey began to inspect his wand; trying figure out what went wrong. Olivia suddenly heard a chirp and focused her attention on something quickly hopping across the water. She was suddenly meet with tiny fangs, as the frog accidentally bit her snout. She yelped and began to shake the intruder off her. The frog then bumped into Mickey, surprising the young lad as it landed on his hat. "W-what the---?!" The startled mouse jumped as he made visual contact with the product of his training. Mickey then grumbled as the frog made itself at home on his hat. Olivia could only giggle at Mickey and their new companion; the young mage's antics never ceased to amaze her.

As the evening set in, the travelers had made it to the mountainous terrains. Olivia sat on all fours in anticipation until Mickey spotted something familiar. "There it is! The temple! He pointed to the landscape matching the description in his book. He then shut his book and held on as Olivia began to take flight towards the temple; unaware of the masked knight hiding behind in secret. Austin glared with hatred at the unsuspecting group as he readied his bow and arrow. 'This is for you my dear sweet Olivia! I shall finally avenge you!' He aimed at his target in question and fired. It whistled through the air at the unsuspecting posse until it was too late. Olivia roared in pain as the arrow made with contact with one of her wings. Mickey held onto her neck as they landed face down in a bush near the temple. "Now I've got you treacherous beast!" Austin drew his sword surprising the trio. The knight made a dash towards Olivia; his intent clear in his eyes. "Leave her alone!" Mickey pulled out his wand, sending out a burst of light in self-defense. 'Mickey? He's protecting me?' Olivia watched as Mickey sent a magical barrage in a clever attempt to distract the knight. Austin dodged it and slashed Mickey's wand away pushing him to the ground. Olivia gasped as Austin raised his sword at Mickey. 'NO...is he going to kill Mickey..? NO! I...can't...I WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN!' With new found confidence and pure rage, she jumped in front of Mickey roaring angerly at Austin. The knight slashed in defense only barely swiping her cheek. "Olivia This way!" Mickey picked the frog as he pointed towards the temple. Olivia blew a line of fire in an attempt to cut the knight off, as she look to Mickey waving. She started to climb up to Mickey until she stared down towards the knight. Austin looked at the two with murderous intent in his eyes. She pushed Mickey onto her back as they made their way toward the top to the opening of the temple. Austin gave chase with fleeing couple in a different direction. The little frog poked out of Mickey's hat to look for danger, as Olivia continued to climb. Austin suddenly cut them off and began slashing them into a corner. Olivia then bellowed out a roar of pain when the knight landed a crucial blow to her chest; slicing the thread on the amulet. She sent him flying back with a smack from her tail as she continued slowly to the top with a bloody wound.

Blood leaked as Olivia made it to the opening of the temple. However, due loss of blood, she lost her balance and stumbled down; her claws scraping the walls as they tried to gain their footing. The group continued sliding down inside the temple gaining the attention of Austin and the other inhabitants dwelling inside. When they finally reached the center, Olivia saw a giant crystal fitting the description in Mickey's book. Despite her severe injury, she limped towards the crystal. Mickey rubbed his head from the awful fall, then look to see a trail of blood coming from Olivia. "No, Olivia! Stop you're hurt!" Mickey ran to her side as she collapsed near the crystal. "Olivia Please! No! Please, you can't die!" Mickey cried as she moaned and slowly closed her eyes. The amulet slowed fell from neck breaking in half. Suddenly the big crystal glowed brightly as did Olivia's body. Mickey stared in awe as the dragon's body shrunk into the body of small doe. "O-Olivia?" Mickey gazed at maiden as the frog jumped out and licked her chest wound. It glowed healing instantly as Olivia opened her eyes. "M-Mickey?" the little frog chirped as she looked at both her saviors. "T-thank you! Thank you both!" She kissed Mickey's cheek as she patted the frog. "A-Aw, g-gee it was nothing!" Mickey rubbed his head, his cheeks red as a tomato.

The frog then snarled as the new couple focused their attention on who it was growling at. From behind the crystal, Austin stared in shock. He dropped his sword as the flames of guilt overcame him. "O-Olivia..?" his helmet dropped to the floor, revealing his face " Y-You're a-a-a-live?you.....the..you-...were the..." It dawned on him--he amulet he gave to his beloved---the dragon he had chasing and fighting ---it had been Olivia this whole time; the one he loved and swore to protect. The onlooking dragons watched as the drama unfold.

"A-Austin...."Olivia gasped in shock as Mickey and the frog ran to her side for protection. "....M-My -d-dear o..Olivia..I-I I'm so s-sorry....p-please come back to me...." Austin reached his hand out to her for forgiveness. Olivia suddenly recalled everything that led to her become a dragon, to begin with. "No Austin....I-I can't. You gave me a cursed amulet, drove me away from home, and almost k-killed me! I-I..just can't." she turned away from Austin leaving him both speechless and heart-broken. Olivia then turned to smile at Mickey as the frog nuzzled her cheek. Her eyes then came across the broken amulet discarded on the floor. Olivia was about to reach for it until she heard flapping of wings. Then something quickly flew by the couple creating a gust of wind. The little frog hid in Mickey's discarded hat, wondering whatever was going to happen next. Another dragon suddenly entered the temple taking the couple by surprise.

Minerva gracefully made her way the towards the forlorn Austin. Olivia and Mickey stared and stood out the towering dragon's way. Minerva came across her son's shatter gem and pushed it towards Austin. "I-I see now.... " Memories of his crime came buzzing in his head. The cat looked at the broken gem then realized that loss of his love was Minerva's exchange for the loss of her child. Minerva growled as she glared down at Austin. Accepting his fate, the cat bowed his head down to the ground. Minerva then blew covering the amulet and Austin's body in red flames. Olivia gasped hiding in Mickey's shoulder; too scared to watch the horror. Minerva just stood back and let her magic do its job. Amongst the red flames, Austin's body shrank and shifted. The flames finally revealed Austin reborn as a baby dragon. The new Austin had no recollection of anything as it gave a little squeal, and looked at his surroundings. Minerva collected her new little charge and began to walk away; paying little mind to the couple. She looked at Austin's helmet and kicked it away. Flapping her wings, she took to off into the night sky. The couple watched in awe as Minerva left the temple; the onlooker dragons following close behind. Baby Austin squeaked curiously giving the couple one last look.

The couple exited cave hand and hand after their little adventure. "Um---so... So this is what you really look like without those scal-?!" He was cut off by a pair of luscious lips pressing right onto his mouth. To be fair, Olivia had intended to kiss his cheek as a reward again. This result was just a fun little disaster that melted Mickey's brain entirely. The exact opposite happened to Olivia, as she was now jolted with excitement now that she had kissed him. So she kissed him again, and again, and again. On top of Mickey's hat, the little frog realized it would be a while before they ever got home.
