Michelle's POV

"Hey Michelle." Petra says, turning her head and looking at me. We're both laying in bed in our pajamas, which are really just t-shirts and underwear because it hasn't mattered to us since ninth grade.
"What?" I say, returning the look.
"Eggs." She says, laughing. I laugh in return, for some reason.
"What." I'm confused.
"Eggs!!" She yells loudly.
"I don't even remember what that joke was about two years ago!"
"HAWAAAAAA?" She makes a surprised face and probably the most hilarious sound I've heard ever. So far. We still have the whole night.
This happens all to often with us. Or perhaps its not too often, since we have such a good time. I'm never quite sure how it starts, but we always end up in a laughing fit, killing ourselves over stupid jokes or funny pictures. Its good though, it gets out our energy and emotions, then afterwards we're calm and quiet. Or, at least I am.
After awhile we stop laughing and calm down. Our phones don't get service out here, and there's no internet, so instead we sit and talk or draw. The drawings aren't anything special, just things to keep us occupied. We'll listen to music sometimes too, while we talk or draw or anything.
There's a knock at our door. I picked up a pair of pyjama pants and slid them on quickly as Petra does the same. I answered the door to Stan and Kenny.
"Hey." I said, letting them in.
"Yo." Kenny said, sitting on Petra's bed beside her and leaning against the wall.
"Hi." Replied Stan, sitting on my bed. "You guys doing anything?"
"Not really." I said, sitting down myself. Petra shrugs in agreement.
"Us neither." Kenny said. "You wanna do something?"
"Sure." Petra and I said. "Like what, though?" She asked.
"I dunno." Kenny shrugged, standing up. "Let's find out."

Petra's POV

The moment I saw Kenny in the doorway, it happened again. The rush of blood, the heat in my cheeks, and the butterflies in my stomach. He was one of my very best friends, and yet I still found myself falling more head over heals for him every day. It's a good thing that I can keep my cool, otherwise there is no way he wouldn't know by now.
It would be so much easier to talk to him about it though, if we hadn't had previous hook-ups. We still hook-up, in fact. Often. What if that makes me just some girl he can easily get his hands on, and has no real feelings for? I don't want to be that girl, especially not to him.
We'd all wandered outside, but me and Kenny managed to branch off from Stan and Michelle.
"So.." He said, as we walked through the dark along the line of trees that was the forest. Before I could say anything though, I was pushed up against a tree and he had his lips pressed against mine. And there it was again, that feeling. I wanted him all to myself, and not just his body. How long would I be able to keep on with these meaningless hook-ups? I love it, but this isn't what I want.
"Kenny," I say, breaking the kiss.
Kenny looked at my questioningly, but moved away a little to let me speak. "What is it?"

Stan's POV

It's only the first night, should I go for it? I think nervously. Now that we were actually here at the camp, I was getting cold feet. I don't know if I can go through with it. Should I? I think to myself.
By now we've walked a ways away from the cabin area, and are just wandering on the dirt road. It's nice out here. Quiet, dark, cool, peaceful. There are tall, thick trees on the sides of the road that seemed to go on for miles.
Up ahead there was a particularity large tree that was different. There was a platform built around it. Once we reached the platform, the view was even better. You could see above the forest, and it really did go on for miles. I lean over the railing and just look for a little while. It made me appreciate the fact that I had the privilege to stand here and see it. And I was especially appreciative of who I was standing with. Who was leaning right beside me, looking off into the distance, and maybe even thinking the same things I am right now.
"Hey, Stan," Michelle said to me in a quiet voice, trying not to greatly disturb the peacefulness of the situation. "Look how easy you can see the stars out here."
I look upwards at the dark sky. She's right, the stars are brighter than I've ever seen them before. "Yeah." I reply, looking over at her. Her gaze is still directed upwards at the black sky, with stars gently twinkling down at us. "Beautiful."
