"How's the mic soundin', McGee?" I asked, fiddling with my earphones, generic Apple ones, to help me blend in with my cocaine dealing persona. "All good, Tony." He replied through the earpiece. "Just before I hand you over to Agent Parks, what are you going to do?" If I was totally honest, I wasn't sure what I was going to do at this time, but I'm sure I'll figure stuff out as I go.
"I've got a plan McGee, don't you worry."
"I'm sure you do-" I cut the feed so Parks, my SFA, could monitor everything.
"How am I doing Parks?" I asked, getting out the car and grabbing the gym bag, which I swung over my shoulder.
"All good, DiNozzo. I know I've just joined NCIS but I think McGee is going to be a little pissed now."
I laughed. "He was pissed anyway because someone brought in donuts and he didn't get one."
"Oh it wasn't that he didn't get one, it was his cheat day yesterday, and today someone brought in donuts." She explained.
"McGoo's on a diet?" I asked, turning around the corner and surveying the street.
"Yeah, I thought you knew."
Grinning, I replied "nope." Popping the 'p'. He'll be hearing about this when I get back to the office.
Then I spotted my 'customer' "we're on, Parks, Yaxley just headed down Fleet Street." I rushed across the street, slipping on my sunglasses. I cut through the back way so I would be at the abandoned parking lot before Yaxley was.
We had good, solid intel that he'd be transferring this to the drug lord Harris Scarsbrooke, the intel was from the man in Interrogation, who's job I was undertaking as effectively the middle man between the cooker- who was laying in autopsy- and the person transporting this stuff to Scarsbrooke.
Sighing, I dropped the gym bag by my feet, not exactly what I was supposed to do with a million dollars of cocaine but it's what I done anyway. It took Yaxley another five minutes to appear at the gate.
"Who are you?" Yaxley called as he ambled over, he too was carrying a near identical gym bag; there was a code name I needed to tell him, I needed to reply with the right one for the switch to take place.
"Kieren." I replied, it was the name of the guy Parks brought in.
With a nod, we swapped bags, I checked inside to see $20 bills, I flipped through, then weighed it, which showed the bag was the right weight for a million. Yaxley checked inside my bag and saw the blocks of product, he counted and must of been satisfied with the number because he uttered a goodbye.
"Did you get the face, Parks, I muttered, heading back to my vehicle and tossing the bag into the back. "Oh, yeah, Tony. Tail but don't engage." I hummed in acknowledgment, "Az, has he returned back to his car?" It took a few seconds before I heard "just walking down the street now, towards the car."
I turned the key in the ignition and headed to the coffee shop which Az was sat in, spotting Yaxley getting into his car.
"Parks, he has just got into a blue Honda Civic," I pulled out the binocs "plate is Delta, X-ray, two, two, three, one."
"Okay, Az, get out here with the take away and let's go." I ordered, he hadn't moved yet, though I caught sight of Az rushing towards the car and plopping into the passenger seat with a couple of coffees and some food.
"Got a trace on him, DiNozzo." Parks piped up as Az passed me a cookie.
"Great." I replied, noticing he was moving, "on his tail as we speak." Peeling away from the curb, I followed the blue coupe.
