AN 2: Young AAD AU

Ant smiled as he heard the door open. His mother and sister had left the house for a girls' night out, so he was home alone tonight. An entire house for just him and Dec.

"Love?" Ant heard from the other side of the kitchen door.

"Kitchen, love!" Ant said loudly.

The smile on his face became even wider when Dec had opened the door and ran right into his arms. Ant put his arms around Dec's frail body and pulled him as close as possible before giving him a soft and sweet kiss.

"I set the table for us." Ant said, cheeks reddening as Dec scanned the table. It was decorated with a candle and some rose petals.

"Why are you so sweet?!" Dec squealed and he hugged Ant tightly. "What did you cook?"

"Love, you know I can't even fry an egg," Ant laughed. "By the way, why would I cook when we could have Chinese takeaway instead?" he winked. Dec laughed and hugged his boyfriend again.

During dinner, they talked about their first date as friends, their first date as lovers, their first kiss,... They shared memories from when they played in Byker Grove, about their music career and now about the first steps to tv.

They looked at each other in awe, knowing they were lucky to have found the boyfriend they both had dreamed of.

They loved each other.
