Jesy watched the dead man as he lay on his back. He had been asleep when she'd killed him.
"Good. We are finished. These missions were becoming mundane to me." Jin said already climbing out the window. Their location was an odd place that none of them had been to before. It was called Istanbul.
Namjoon needed to sit and shake his head before he left. "Just give me a moment." The list had been long. Probably fourteen people had died at their hands, well Jesy's hand. She had killed all of them by placing a palm zapping with quiet lightning at their chests. The lightning shocked the heart till it stopped. Each death would look like a heart attack to a doctor. He and Jin had just been backups. They had used their powers to make her invisible and go through things.
"Hmmm." Jesy hummed to herself. She had just killed a man. One out of many. The last until the CIA decided to give her another task like this. The agency was saving tons of money by using them. A mission like this usually required at least five men and would be time consuming. With her and her friends it had only taken one shot. One shot for this man at least. Others had been hard to find but they could locate them on their own or wait for them to appear where they were supposed to be. "And yet I feel nothing." She whispered.
"Why are you both still in here? It is disgusting. Somebody has died in this room. Come, come let us go home. I am already beginning to take the stench of death." Jin said dramatically flying out the window. He liked this job. It was easy and paid well. Just a bit boring at times. "I will make delicious meal for all of us to share." He said looking in at his friends who were just standing and sitting around. They were in the man's bedroom. They needed to leave before someone else came in. "Chop, chop." He said impatiently when they did not budge at the mention of food.
Jesy put her hands in her pockets. She turned to where Jin was in the window. "Right. Let's go." She began walking there.
Namjoon stood too and followed them. Once again he felt like he would not get over this for some time. Killing people was wrong. He did not like being a part of it.
Jesy was climbing out the window when she heard a person speaking a strange language enter the room. She looked back to see a stunned looking young boy. He was maybe ten or eleven. "Shit." They had been warned of this old crook's grandson.
"We have been spotted." Jin said urgently as the boy came further into the room looking baffled and asking questions in his language. He began shouting.
Jesy held up a hand of lightning and was moving towards him quickly with what she was to do in mind. "I'll meet you guys outside."
Namjoon gasped and held her back. "You can't kill a child!" The grandson was screaming and crying. He ran out of the room.
"You let him get away you dumb ass!" Jesy spat. She burned Namjoon to make him let her go then ran after the boy.
Namjoon ran after her and caught up quickly. He held Jesy back then passed her catching the boy before he entered his room. "We should bring him to the base. They'd probably be able to brain wash him or something." He hit the boy on the neck and he passed out. "Sorry." Namjoon picked him up and held him over his shoulder before giving Jesy a look of disgust. "Didn't you promise her that you wouldn't kill again?" He asked whispering. There was no one else in the house but he felt the need to as it was night.
Jesy frowned deeply. She knew what he was talking about. "This is different. I'm just doing what I'm being paid to do. We can't have random people knowing about us now can we?" She stepped closer to him. "I would have been doing him a favour anyway. If the CIA can't brainwash him then he'd have to live with the memory of finding his granddad dead and someone holding lightning in their hand to kill him forever. He has no other relatives to take care of him. The kid's gonna be lonely as f*ck." She walked passed Namjoon with hands in the pockets of her trousers. Each of them wore a uniform. It was black and they had to wear bullet proof vests over it. As they were quite famous and did not want to be seen they also wore masks that covered their noses and mouths. The masks matched the outfit. "Anyway. I don't know shit. You're the genius so do what you think is the right thing."
