Impulse

A/N Just saying that for the first little while in this book the connection between Luke and Gray will be purely on physical attraction or lust. Later when they actually begin to interact and get a better connection will you see the emotional attraction and the actual material for a relationship to begin.

Ps. Just wanted to say that the dedication is to the one Larry writer I am in love with, I got a dedication from them so i thought that i would repay the favor!  

Luke’s POV

            She walked off quietly down the hallway, her wet hair moving with the wind that was blowing from a nearby fan. I watched until she disappeared around the corner, yet I didn’t look away, I just watched the place she stood for a moment, before a hand on my shoulder caused me to turn to face my right.

“Hey mate, thanks for helping hold her back, she’s sort have been a wreck lately.”

“Its fine, she looked like she needed some support, and I’m hear for a while so I might as well help.”

“Yeah, I’m Jason McKeller by the way.”

“Luke… Hemmings… Luke Hemmings.”

“Nice to meet you Luke.”

“May I ask what happened and who is the girl you’ve been with?”

“Do you want the full story or just the basics?”

“Whatever you’re willing to give me.”

“Okay, then you might want to sit down.”

            I just nodded then headed over to the seats closest to us, it just happened to be right beside my brother’s room.

Once we were both seated comfortably Jason spoke up and started the story.

“So my sister, the one that was in the hospital tried to commit suicide 4 days ago in her bedroom. If it wasn’t for Gray, who’s my sisters best friend, she would have died 4 days ago. At least now she got a few extra days. I guess today she succeeded in trying. See Gray is my sister’s best friend, they were born a few days apart from each other and they never spent a day apart from each other. It must have killed her to find my sisters body that day, I couldn’t imagine it, finding your best friend on the ground bleeding to death. When I got home Gray was already upstairs trying to stop the bleeding. I called the police while she did so. Then when they got to my house she came here. But today I guess that time ran out. I guess that it was just her time. I don’t know how Gray is going to handle this. Hopefully better then I expect.”

            He finished talking and I couldn’t help but just stare at him. I was speechless nothing that I could ever imagine would be harder than seeing your best friend dead. Now all I wanted was to hold Gray and hug her. I still haven’t talked to her but I still feel like I need to protect her. We sat there in silence for what felt like ages until finally screaming broke both of us out of our thoughts. We jumped out of our seats and made our way into the middle of the hall, then not moments later Gray was being pulled down the hall and away from the ICU, she was screaming for 5 more minutes but they wouldn’t give it to her. I looked over to Jason and he looked petrified, sad even. My eyes went back to the doctors holding Gray just in time to see her getting a sedative in her arm to get her to stop fighting, then her body became limp in their arms she was then placed on a stretcher and lead to a room. I was going to start walking towards the new location of Gray but a doctor caught me before I could get far.
