3 Years Later"Pinch me Elena. There's no way this is real," I said to Elena while fidgeting with the engagement ring on my finger.
"Oh it's real," Elena side, helping me to button up the microscopic buttons on the back of my weddings dress. "There, fixed."
She stood next to me in the large mirror. He long, off the shoulder, lavender bride's maid's dress flowed nicely with my simple white one. The off the shoulder dress hugged my curves and had a slit at the front that went up to my thigh.
"This was a terrible idea. Sam's probably dying, you and both know he's not the wedding kind of person."
"And that's why you decided to keep this small," Elena added, giving me a side hug.
"Knock, knock. Is it safe?" Sully asked, opening the door to the small room with his eyes covered. He was wearing a simple suit with a lavender colored bow tie.
"It's safe," I said, turning to face Sully.
Sully uncovered his eyes and walked closer giving Elena and I a smile.
"You look great, kid," Sully said, his eyes starting to water.
"Oh my. Sully, are you crying?" Elena and I asked together.
"No," he answered, turning around to wipe his eyes. He turned to face us again. "Okay, maybe a little, but can you blame me? It was Nate first and now you. I can't say I saw this day coming so soon."
"You and me both," I said, walking over to Sully to hug him.
"You're going to ruin what little make up you have on Bryllee. Don't cry yet," Elena said, wiping her own eyes. I pulled away from Sully's hug and gave Elena another short hug.
"How much time do we have before it starts?"
"About five minutes before you should be out there, ready to walk down the short isle of chairs," Sully answered, checking his watch.
"Good," I mumbled, sitting in the chair next to the small vanity.
"You know, I think you need to look at this," Elena said, walking over to her bag and pulling out a small black book. She opened it and flipped through the pages then walked over to me and gave me the photo album. It was open to her and Nate's wedding pictures.
I smiled at her, "You two are adorable."
"And so are you and Sam. Believe me, I felt the same way when I was getting ready to marry my own trouble maker. Sam's a big boy, he would've said something if he didn't want to do it like this," she said as she sat on the handle to the chair. "In ten years or even three, when you look back at photos like this, both of you will be laughing with uncontrollable smiles. Both f you want this and are going to enjoy it, I promise."
I liked at Sully, still smiling, he was too. His eyes were watery again as he spoke, "Look at you two. I must be getting old."
The three of us started to laugh as there was another knock on the door followed my Nate's voice, "You three ready? Sam's already and waiting, I just need to walk down with my own wife and then Sully will take you."
"Yea we're ready," Sully said opening the door and leading the rest of us out.
Nate, wearing a matching lavender bow tie, smiled as we all walked to the makeshift isle. we all got in order, Nate and Elena in front of us, Elena on the left, Nate on the right, and Sully and I behind them.
Nate turned around, still smiling and said, "My brother is almost as lucky as I am."
He looked at Elena and she kissed his cheek. An organ began to play and that was the signal for Elena and Nate to begin walking. Elena turned and mouthed a "you'll be fine," followed by a smile before they started walking.
