I still haven't told Arthur about my crush on him. I just NEED to let him know that he is more than a friend to me. So I decide to spread it as a rumour. I tell Guinevere about my crush on Arthur and it gets out. Soon, Arthur will know.
I just hope he feels the same way about me. I don't know what a kings feelings are. So I go up to him and say
"Arthur, how do you feel about me?"
He responds with "well, Merlin, you're a great serving boy, I'm comfortable saying anything with you because you have no one to tell except for Gaius."
I say "no, I mean emotionally...?"
He says "Ummm, well, Merlin, I hate to admit that I have feelings for you, but it's true."
I say "Oh really? What kinds of feelings?"
I say "Arthur I think you are an excellent king, I don't want to mess with you and Guinevere's relationship. So I won't tell you, be thankful that you don't have to know how I feel about you."
He tells me "you are extremely excellent."
I say "thank you."
He laughs quietly and turns towards me. "I might be your king, and you might be a peasant. But you mean more to me than you could possibly imagine."
I blush a bit. He shrugs and says
"goodnight Merlin, I'll be waiting."
I say "for what?"
He just winks at me and says "goodnight."
