"Let's dance," I grab his hand trying to pull him up from the couch, loud music playing from the  speaker in my living room. He slaps my hand away a harsh "no" coming from his mouth, he brings the small cup with rum in it and takes a drink pursing his lips from the strong taste.

I pout slight, "fine be like that." I start to twirl and move my body to the beat of the music. He must be tired. "Can't you stay still for a couple of minutes ?" He looks up at me no facial expression, I shrug and continue to dance. "I'm trying to have fun." He huffs and keeps drinking, "you act like a child." Once again I pout, I turn the music off and sit on the couch next to him. I take the bottle with rum and serve myself some, before I can bring the glass to my lips he grabs my wrist and takes the drink from me.

"Hey give it back!" I try to grab the glass but he holds me down with one of his hand the other one bringing my glass to his lips drinking the rum. "A lady shouldn't drink." I pull myself out of his hold and huff. "I just wanted a drink, no need to be so mean." He looks at me and shakes his head disapproving again, "If you want a drink then there's water in your kitchen." I could drink something else.

I smirk and move to the floor getting on my knees in front of him. He looks down at me uninterested, "not in the mood, get up." I do as I'm told. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, don't pry into my business. Understood?" I nod my head not wanting to bother him anymore. "I'm sorry." I don't think I said it loud enough for him to hear. I start making my way to my room, i don't want to see him upset i'll get upset too. "You're really going to walk away?" I turn to face him and make my way back to the couch next to him, "I don't want to make you even more upset" I look down at my fingers and start playing with my nails.

"You stupid stupid girl, you could never make me upset." He pats my head and kisses the top of it, I smile and look at him his face still blank absolutely no emotion shown. I know he means it i know it i know it. He moves farther away from me and serves himself more rum. "You shouldn't drink so much." He looks at me and takes a drink making complete eye contact with me, "It's the only way i can stand being around you for more than an hour." My mouth forms into a frown and i look away from him, "don't be a crybaby, you know im playing with you." I nod but do not look at him he gets really mean when he is drunk i don't like it. We stay silent for a while the only noises being him serving himself more rum his silent gulp and the glass hitting my black wooden table. His ring suddenly starts ringing, the name Alyssa filling the screen. He immediately picks the phone up, "Hi baby." He's always so happy when she calls so so happy, it's almost as she is the only happiness in his life. I hate that, I hate her.

They continue to talk for a few minutes a smile plastered on his face the whole time. "I'll be home in 30 minutes i promise. I love you." The moment he hangs up and he looks at me his smile disappears. I want to be her. "I have to go home," his voice is monotone before he can even stand i grab his wrist. "You're drunk please don't drive." He pulls his hand away from me, "Like i said i have to go home, Alyssa is waiting for me." He stand but i grab his wrist once again, "Be safe Luke, text me when you get home, i love you." I mean it with all my heart, i love him, i love him, i love him. He pulls his hand away from me again, he walks to the door not saying anything else and slams the door shut.

God how i wish for him to say it back to simply say the words that mean so much to me back to feel the same way i feel about him. For him to simply say, "I love you Teresa."
