Thomas was trying to start the fire while listening to his friend talk abut one of the many moments between him and Y/N.
"You two were cute. I have to admit." Minho laughed as he lay on a thin blanket.
"I know we were." Newt said smugly.
"Y/N seemed to be nice, wish I met her." Thomas sighed, sitting after he finally got the fire to work.
"She was an amazing person, she always made me laugh when we would make food. Always cracking jokes about the maze. Some were about us being "the last of human kind" or "we were the solution." She was pretty spot on." Frypan chuckled.
"Creepy, well that's what Gally would say." Minho added. Thomas looked at Newt, wondering if he should asked this question. The one hat he had wanted to know since the very beginning.
"So Newt." He paused waiting to see a sign he was listening. Once he knew he was, he spoke. "What happened to Y/N?"
Newt froze. Wondering if he should tell the truth. Or if he should lie until the time was right.
He opted for the first option. He looked at the two boys knowing they'd be disappointed with his choice. Yet Newt didn't want Thomas to pity him.
So he told a white lie.
