What a moment for Russia! There are tears of joy right across the nation and the noise inside the Luzhniki Stadium is just incredible. 

Igor Akinfeev is the hero in the penalty shoot-out with two saves, but their defence put up such a superb resistance during normal time and extra time.

They were on the ropes at times but held out and now they're into the last eight!
