"Great job guys! You too, Hana!" Uraraka said with a grin.
I smiled at her kind words as everyone else cheered for one another's victory in stopping the opposing team. It was break and we had a few minutes to cool down before our turn of pursuit. I was drinking my water bottle, until I heard a voice call out my name. I immediately brought the rims of the bottle away my lip before closing it.
"Hey, Hana," Midoriya called out to me.
Uraraka and I look towards the boy who was coming towards us.
"Yes?" I responded. I wiped the drops of water that was left on my lips.
He gave a rather curious look, yet confused one as well. "How did you do that?" He scratched the back of his head, out of habit- not wanting to seem annoying.
"Do what?" I ask him.
"How did you know we only had a few seconds left before you sent that boulder towards Kaachan?" he explains his curiousity.
The brunette next to me glanced at him before looking back at me. She seemed curious too. I put my pointer finger on my lip in wonder as well. Truth be told, I didn't even know that we would run out of time during that situation. We were actually lucky to be honest.
I began to softly chuckle in embarrassment. "Actually. I wasn't too sure when time was going to run out." I gave them an awkward smile.
"Wait...what?" Midoriya said in utter shock. "Are you serious?" He looked at me in disbelief.
"Well," I start while I bring my finger away from my lip, "I was actually hoping that if Bakugou dodged that boulder, I could send the boulder back to him by changing the wind current and possible stall him before time runs out," I tell them the honest truth. "But I'm not too sure if that would have worked."
The two stared at me with wide eyes in surprise of my words.
"So you had a back up plan for your original plan?" Midoriya confirms my words, trying to connect the dots. "But even with that you- wait..." It was as though Midoriya couldn't believe was he was hearing. "So this whole time we were just lucky???"
"Yeah," I reply with a casual nod of my head. "You can say that."
Uraraka looked in thought. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to read her expression. The two simultaneously glanced at one another with a change of expression. It was a mix of surprise and confusion.
"That would have been so cool if you hit Bakugou with the boulder though," a voice jumps into our conversation.
All three of our heads turn from the blond's voice. Kaminari came our way with a snicker. Following behind him was two other classmates that were in our team, Shoji and Koda.
"That would have been a sight to see," the blond jokes before smiling at me. I wasn't too sure if he was being friendly or being himself. Either way, I wasn't sure how to react to him.
"If Hana did that," Midoriya starts, "I could only imagine how Kaachan would react." His face began to lose color as though he just saw a ghost.
Uraraka stared at the boy in surprise of his expression. "Are you alright, Deku?"
We all stared at him while Uraraka moved her hand up and down in front of him.
"I can sense fear in Midoriya," Shoji states as he stares at his worrisome classmate.
"Whaaat!?" the boy shrieked before laughing awkwardly. "What...heh..he...I'm fine Shoji." He tried to sound convincing, but it was clear that he was not fine.
