Chapter 21: "Change"

"So, this is our last class together?" I stared at All Might while I stood next to his small desk.

"You finished your written part of your final, and your practical test won't happen for awhile now. I spoke with Nezu, and he said that your exam might have to be taken after the field trip." He told me as he got ready to leave the classroom. 

I followed him. "Why's that? I thought grading would be over by then."

He glanced at me before speaking. "Yes, but it's an exception for you, Young Mizueikyo. There is no official date for your practical exam, but it may happen during the field trip." 

So I do have to go on the trip? That answers Uraraka's question from the other day. I was hoping I didn't have to, but since Aunt Miyako's here, I guess it's alright then.

"Does that mean I have a different schedule with the others?" I question him.

He stared at the big empty hallway in front of us. "Yes, but for most of the time no. You will be transferring to class 1-A after the trip. It was a decision the teachers and I agreed on with Nezu since you were quickly able to catch up to their point of study. Other than me, Eraserhead is the only teacher that can handle you and trust you as a student.  Your training sessions with his class may not be a lot, but he does trust you to be a reliable student that can set an example for his class. Whenever you're around, his class somehow pays attention more, or so he says."

I felt the corner of my lips slowly go up from his words. Am I hearing that right? The intimidating Eraserhead thinks I can help him discipline his students? The thought seemed amusing.

"So this is our last day together in this classroom. Until I see you again, Young Mizueikyo," All Might says before raising his hand at me as a sign of good bye.

I nodded my head before mirroring him. "Thank you for your time." I bow.

I felt something touch my head. I immediately look up.

"No need to thank me, Young Mizueikyo," He says while he pats my head. I stood up straight and he retracted his hand. "Until I see you again." I watched him give me a final nod before turning around and leaving down the hallway.

A sudden feeling of emptiness occurred inside of me. I guess it was just knowing that this classroom was no longer my classroom, and All Might was no longer my teacher. I guess I grew attached to this daily life style, and now that things have to change, it feels weird.

I sighed to myself before taking my things as well and leaving this small classroom behind.

"Field trip?" Aunt Miyako said in surprise while she read the paperwork.

It was the afternoon and I thought it was best for me to tell my aunt that I had to go on the Training Camp Trip. Even though she has been here for a little while, it's only the right thing for me to do to tell her.
