Taylors POV

We had been driving on the road for what felt like forever. Everyone seemed so gloomy and bored so I took it upon myself to lighten the mood. "Hey dad, can I connect to the Bluetooth?" I asked unplugging my headphones. "yeah. I don't care, just please don't play any of that asking Alex questions." He said confidently. "You mean Asking Alexandria?" I choked while laughing. "Ah...well.you know what I meant." He mumbled throwing his hand in the air. I frantically plugged in my phone, to overly excited. I put it on 'I'm not a vampire' Falling in reverse.

"Taylor hunny please turn that screaming nonsense off, you know how your dad feels about it." I rolled my eyes but listened. Fine I'll play something even harder. I put on 'antivis' by bring me the horizen. My dad looked in the rearview mirror and gave me a dirty look "put your head phones in to listen to it if you're not goin to listen." I rolled my eyes and put my headphones back in. What does he know anyway. What of I just started acting crazy? They better be thankful for the son they have, I could be worse.

*8hrs later*

It felt like we had been in the car for hours. Moving from cali is going to be hard, I don't want to up and leave, now were moving to a whole different state. Ohio. Like what's in Ohio besides fucking potatoes and crackheads? This shit is about to be wack, gross, NOT fun.

What were they even thinking? To move us all the way to a different state?! Did they even considered how we felt? I know it was because dad got a new business opening at his job, which they required us to move. Just for some job position. No thanks, I'll never understand why adults just up and move for a job. Not this crazy string bean.

When we got to the new house I jumped out of the car so fast I nearly fell. We had been in the car for nearly 11 hrs. At least it felt like it. Needless to say I was feeling uneasy and car sick. We all gathered around the front door and waited as dad unlocked the door. We all went inside, and looked around. I was on a mission to find the second biggest room before makenzie.

My parents always got the biggest room. Although to my surprise, after taking a quick walk around our new home, i realized that all the rooms were big.

My parents didn't want us to see the house until we moved. They wanted it to be a surprise. They did a good job because it's definitely not what I expected.   The house was fully furnished. Honestly nicer than our last house. Our last house had...character. To say the least. It was a medium sized house, one story. It was a dirty charcoal color. Built in the 60s. We weren't exactly rich but we weren't poor. Recently my dads new job, he has made double what he was. The house had Brown shutters, bars on the windows and a stone porch.

The way the bushes met the edges of the windows gave it a sinister look. A house DEFINITELY out of the 60s. This house on the other hand was nice. Two story, marble countertops and floors. The yard was fenced in, rose bushes and tulips. The house was made of grey marble stones. Almost like a cottage look. The people who designed this place, were probably depressed 20 year olds who only had time to decorate.

After catching myself aimlessly walking around in my thoughts, I seen it. calling my name. The light shined perfectly through the room catching my attention. I walked up the stairs, making my way to the door, standing at the door frame. The door its self was odd looking, in a cool way though. The bed had to be king sized for sure. A black futon sad in the far left corner of the room with a Victorian glass door beside it. Black curtains draped over the frame.

I was already picturing where ally things would go. It was like God made this room just for me. I felt like such a fan girl over this room. Taking a deep breath, I crossed my arms and smiled. "Yes this is perfect." I mumbled to myself as Makenzie walked past me with a smirk "that's such a tacky room." I rolled my eyes and looked at her. "Yeah like your room is gonna be any better, why can't you keep your negative shit to your self?" she laughed "oh I must've struck a nerve?!" She mocked sarcastically, covering her mouth as if she felt bad. "It's a tacky room just my opinion, don't be such a baby." She snapped, while walking away flipping me off. What is her deal all the time?
